Jeremy

I stared up at the treehouse in awe. A short net led to a small platform, which had a suspension bridge just across from it. Then there was a rope ladder at the very end, leading up to the first little treehouse. This thing was no average treehouse, that's for sure. It was much more impressive up close, and I can't even imagine what it looks like inside.

Eidri walked up behind me, her face somewhat hidden under her hood to block the rain. "You ready?" She asked.

I smiled, thinking to myself how adorable she looked hiding her head from the rain. "Ready as I can be."

She led me up the first rope net, across the bridge, and up the rope ladder. There was a door up over the of of the rope ladder itself, and Eidri pushed it up over. We both climbed up onto the first platform. Once we got up and Eidri shut the door, she led me around the left side of the... house? Not sure if that's what I should call it, but it fits. The house itself was a light shade of oak, and though small compared to a house, huge for a treehouse. As Eidri opened the door to the room, I took in everything I was seeing.

"Okay, this is the first part of the treehouse. Obviously. This is a sort of hang out area. There's a tv, a game console, then a small shelf for video games and movies." As she spoke, she pointed everything out. "Then through this entryway, there's an eating area. There isn't anything in the fridge right now, but it's nice for days outside."

There was a mini fridge, with a small counter next to it. Then there was a four person table in the middle of the room.

I shook my head. "Wow. This is really impressive. Talk about a sort of dream treehouse, am I right? Seriously, I wish I could have one of these for myself."

She blushed slightly and resituated her clothes. "Yeah... it's really nice. I've always loved coming up here and just hanging out. It's really peaceful too. There's more though. Here, follow me."

I gaped a little, but followed behind her. Eidri went back into the main room and she bent down in a corner next to the shelf and unlatched a fairly large circular door. On the outside was a rope tunnel, with some extra safety netting underneath it.

"I'll go first, that way I can open the next door. Just slide the door down, it'll close itself. And don't worry, it doesn't lock itself. So we won't be locked out."

"Alright, cool."

Eidri took a deep breath, then climbed into the tunnel, and started climbing up towards the next door. There wasn't a huge incline, but there was a little bit of one. Once she was a good distance ahead, I climbed in and reached behind me to pull the door shut. By the time I figured it out, Eidri was already unlatching the next door. I climbed the rest of the way across, and crawled into the next house.

"Okay, so, this one is more of an area to sleep. There's this room here that is kind of just a relaxing area. You can sit in here in read, thus the ginormous bean bag chairs. But they can be used to sleep in too. And then if you come into the bedroom here," she opened a door on the other side of the room, "there's a legit bed up here. There's only one because of how much hassle it is to get it up here in the first place."

I scoffed. "Yeah. A bed. In a treehouse. Just a little bit of a hassle."

She laughed shyly. "Yeah, I know. It's really fancy for a treehouse. But it's nice, I loved staying up here as a little kid to sleep outside. And when there's clear skies, the skylight makes for an amazing view. But, there's still one more thing to see."

"Huh. I think I might hang out here more just cause of the treehouse. What do you say, huh Eidri?" I nudged her playfully, making her smile a little bit.
