Lui's POV
They had always said that you never really realize what you have, until you lose it. I had never believed in that, but it was so true.

The weeks without Y/N were absolutely hell, they were only allowing family to visit her, because she was still in a critical condition.

It hurts when Evan visits her, because he was basically her brother. Just hearing him call out "I'm gonna go visit Y/N! Be back soon." Before rushing out the door just breaks my heart.

She was always rushed in and out of surgeries, and half the time I didn't even know if she was alright or not anymore, I just had to wait until friends were allowed to visit.

It took a month for them to allow friends, and the second I heard this I just rushed down to see her. I was in the middle of recording with Tyler and Mini, when Evan popped in and told me, and I didn't even turn anything off, I just quickly put in my shoes, grabbed my keys, and just left.

I almost got a ticket driving down there, I was going 75 mph in a 45 zone. I think the cop saw my frantic self and the pain and my eyes, and let me off with a warning.

Actually getting there was the second worst part of the entire thing, there were no close spots towards the entrance, so I parked far away and just started booking it towards the door.

The hardest part, was actually seeing her. I knew she was going to look bruised and battered, she was in a car accident, but I don't think I prepared myself mentally.

Her head was shaved, as they did many skull surgeries for a variety of reasons. She had big bruises everywhere, some were even yellow and they ran as long as her legs. She had scars on her face that would never truly go away, and her hands were wrapped in the white bandages.

I just bursted out crying, my heart couldn't handle her in such a state, I loved her for Christ's sake, the sight of her like that just killed me from the inside out.

The truly worst part about it though, was that I could do nothing about it.
