Tavia's POV~
"Tavia honey, wake up. You're going to be late for school!" my mom yelled from her bedroom.
I groggily rolled over in my bed and finally sat up after a few minutes. It was the last day of school and I was finally happy to be out of that prison. I got up and picked out an outfit to wear, then I went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. As I got in, I stared at the scars on my arms thinking to myself: "You're not the old Tavia anymore." And by the old Tavia I meant the depressed Tavia that stayed in her room all day and didn't take her meds at times. I let the water hit my face to wake me up before turning off the water and stepping out the shower. I then did my normal morning routine: brush my teeth, get dressed, and fix my hair. I checked my phone and saw it was 8:30. "Shit, I'm gonna miss the train!" I thought to myself. I grabbed my things and hurried down the stairs. Before leaving to go to the subway station, I kissed my mom bye and told her I loved her. I walked faster to try to get to the subway station as fast as I could and I made it. The ride to school isn't that long so after the first two stops I started to get my stuff together to get off. As I got up to get off the train, a man wearing a couple chains and a expensive looking watch handed me a business card. "Here you go pretty girl, you should stop by some time." he said with a smile. I gave him an awkward smile before hurrying off the train. The card was for a strip club. "Why would he give this to a girl like me?" I asked myself.
