"Come on Brooklyn! We almost got them!" my coach aggressively shouts from the dug out.
I wind my pitch up then release at my hip.
"Strike! Your out!" The umpire yells and the catcher throws the ball back to me.

I take a deep breath and look around at my surroundings and into the crowd that stands behind the fence. My eye catches a guy with tan olive skin, but yet is pale. I examine over him, his dark hair is made into a tall quiff and his lips are painted into a smirk.
Looks like the scouts are tonight... I can probably get a scholarship.
The only thing that concerns me about this guy is by how young he looks. He looks like he is at least in his really early twenties.

"Brooklyn pay attention to the game or your out!" My coach scowls from the dug-out.

Wow, well there goes my chance for maybe getting a scholarship. I gather myself back together and focus on the game that's in front of my eyes. I take a deep breath and do my wind up then release the lime-green ball making it hit the catchers glove with a pop.

"Strike 1!" the umpire calls out.

Ok 2 more, Brooklyn, 2 more. I look back over to the guy and place a sly smirk across my lips.
I start my wind up again then release, but as soon as the ball leaves my hand it hurdles towards the batter and hits her, she immediately falls down in pain. I look back over to where the guy was but he isn't there anymore.

"Ball game!" the umpire yells after twenty minutes of playing. I head back to the dug out and gather all my things and walk out meeting my mom at the car.

"You did great Brooklyn." She says

"Yeah at hitting the batter with a ball."
