After buying an old truck, strange events keep occurring. At first Marissa didn't believe the old man for a minute when he talked about its magic. Now she isn't quite sure what to believe.
Her grandmother wakes up from a coma. Her mother gets pregnant. Her father wins the lottery. But nothing lucky happens to her.
In fact, while driving the truck to sell it back to the old man, something unlucky happens. It breaks down on the side of the road. He lives hours away from her, and she's caught somewhere in between his house and home. Stranded in the middle of nowhere without a phone, Marissa stumbles upon a rather loud-mouthed boy with some arrogant personality.
Is luck finally on her side?
