Evaluation Day.
It was that time of the year again where we would be re-sorted into different statuses again. Some looked forward to this day, because they think just maybe they can move up. Others did not look forward to this day, as they were worried their status would lower. I couldn't care less, since I already knew which Status I would be in. Status D. This was nothing more than just a waste of time.
I accepted the fact that I would forever be in Status D, the Status with the least amount of freedom. I can't really do anything with the Status I'm in. I can't go to amusement parks or arcades. There is only one park I could go to, and it's the public park by the river. Status D people can not be outside their homes past 10:00 pm. Status D people can not live in the fancy homes at the central part of the kingdom and instead have to live in the smaller and much tighter houses in the outer ring of the kingdom. Status D people are forbidden to enter the central part of the kingdom. Status D people can not have high paying jobs, like doctors or lawyers. Instead, we have to settle for a very limited amount of jobs with 'okay' pay. The list goes on. Overall, Status D is very limited.
However, with my limited future, I am determined to become the one thing that society doesn't prevent me from becoming, a writer. Writers are often overlooked by the upperclass, however, words can go a long way and I was determined to change the minds of others. Though eyes can tell a story, so can words.
Though I have a limited life, I guess you could say there are a few benefits of having this Status such as not having to deal with the snobby kids in Status A, well at least most of the time. We have inside jokes and our own Status own 'hang out' in our region.
However, those few benefits do not make up for the constant bullying and harsh words we hear from other statuses at school. Especially Status A students. The one place that has a large mix of different Statuses would be school. School is located on the second outer ring of the kingdom/country.
Our kingdom is separated into rings.
First, is the inner ring, or center of the kingdom. The Central Region, Region 127. The center has the highest technological advances, places of entertainment, Emerald Mall (the largest and most high class mall), extraordinary and large houses, and the royal families castle. Overall, the Central region of the kingdom is the most unique and high class region. It has anything and everything. The list can go on.
Then, there's the first outer ring of the kingdom. The first outer ring, or Region R1, is where the schools are located. Region R1 is like a toned down version of the central region. They have the second highest amount of technological advancements. There is a smaller mall within Region R1, however, only Status A and B allowed in. The region contains one major amusement park, but once again, only Status A and B people go there. The houses in Region R1, are quite big too, but not as huge or breathtaking as those in Region 127. Region R1 is typically where those of Status B people live. Overall, Region R1 is a very up to date and fortunate region because they are the closest to Region127.
