Blood on my window. A handprint made of blood and the chills in the room from the souls of people who once lived. Lie in my bed, with no sleep, staring at the ceiling, listening to the footsteps roaming around the house. The footsteps that no one but I could hear. Frightened, by the shadows on the walls that were not mine, afraid that they would stop moving and attack. Shaking until morning, until the light peered through the window. I yearned to speak. To anyone. Someone who would believe. Someone who knows.

It's Saturday morning, no school, I go to my closet, where my laptop is placed. I look for a website. A website where I could just talk to someone. Tell them what I fear. As soon as I find one, I sign up as GhostGirl56. Fear overtook me and questions raced through my mind. Will the spirits get mad? Will they hurt me? Will I die? At just 16 years old?

I go into the chat anyway. One person was already logged in. The name was AnonymousFor1000Years. I started to type.

GhostGirl56: Hello

AnonymousFor1000Years: Meet me at Willow Street

GhostGirl56: Why

AnonymousFor1000Years: Meet me at Willow Street

Willow Street? That was the abandoned street. No one went there. Ever. It was 12:30. I better leave now. I ran. Willow Street was far. Once I was there, I looked at my watch, 12:58. Wow, I ran fast. It was now 1:00. I waited, and waited, and waited, but the only thing that arrived was a cold chill. I walked back home. I went online and signed back in.

GhostGirl56: Why weren't you there

AnonymousFor1000Years: I was

GhostGirl56: I never saw you

AnonymousFor1000Years: You never see me, I see you though

GhostGirl56: What do you mean

AnonymousFor1000Years: I can see you now. I'm right next to you. I'm going to kill you now. See you soon :)

Everything was darker now. I had to face it. I was going to die. My body slid off of my chair and onto the ground. That was the last thing that happened before I slipped into unconsciousness.

10 Years Later

Elizabeth was the one who killed me. She was all alone and wanted a friend. Although I'm still not happy with the way she decided to make that friend, she's like a sister to me now, and I'm like a sister to her. I looked outside of my window and watched as the moving truck drove down the block. A girl who looked about 14 came out of the truck. Finally someone was moving in, this place has been empty since my parents found me dead and decided to move out because of the bad memories. I looked over to Elizabeth and saw her green eyes sparkle with mischievousness.

"Elizabeth" I said.

"What Kelly" she asked.

"Please don't kill this one" I said.

"No promises" responded Elizabeth. I sighed. This was going to be a long few years.
