"Keish are you alright?You look pale"- Daina asked me a bit worried. " Im fine maybe my anemia is coming back is not a big deal Daina"
"No big deal? You're our Luna we supposed to care about you and worries about you, and youre my best friend excuse me if I insist to be worried. By the way youre brother and friends are still bothering you?" Daina told me with a worried look then she get mad asking abiut my brother.
"Im sorry I understand, and yes they're still bothering me, maybe hes mad at me because Im the Alpha when he was hoping he will be. Aish, I dont know why I have this anemia thing is annoying being sick" - I told Daina pretending that everything is alright but I actually Im worried, last time I had anemia I need a blood tranfusion, my brother never knew about it he thinks I was with Daina, like you can see I like to keep my secrets maybe later I will tells you why.
"I think the reason are your hunter genes" Told me Daina bringing me back from my toughts.
"My hunter genes?"- I ask confused
"Yes, I mean your hair is purple because youre half hunter, maybe your anemia has something to do with it"- Daina said. " Maybe youre right but we arrive College so we have to forget about this right now"- I replied.
"You're lovely Kyohei is waiting for you and the bully gang too" "By the way Lu... Keish, can I ask ypu something?" - Said Daina while I was wondering what the bully gang will do to me this time. "What is it?" - I replied with a feeling that I will regret letting her ask. "Why is the vamp boy always watching and following you?" Daina ask with curiosity in her eyes.
"Maybe because wolves and vamps arent friends? (With a duh tone) Daina this is a mixed college and even when we can be fighting or discusing here or even when I hide who am I theyre not stupids."
"I know that I was just wandering if you knew something" Anyway just supposing hes different which Im sure he isn't if he cares he would help you with the gang instead he just watch so hes a jerk." - Daina said with an obviously mad tone.
"Hi babe..." Kyohei didnt let me finish my sentence and with a serious tone said "They wants to give you a new bike,.they said it will not exposed you and because youre the leader to be the colors will be black and purple while our is black and red"
"Why they wanna give me a bike? I havent say yes to be the leader." I replied to kyohei surprised.
"Youre our leader daughter even when you havent say yes youre still our leader, I cant believe a monster will be our leader" he said will all the sincerity in his words.
"How did you called me?" I closed my hand in a fist, my eyes were getting dark but I manage to control myself.
"A monster thats what you are, you and all your specie, I tried to be a good hunter mate, I was happy to be the mate of our leader until I knew what you are, I cant take it anymore, I dont want you by my side, is disgusting for me, I fight against you and your type practically kills you now I have to be your partner and your subordinate, the hunters we used to be will not gonna be anymore because you will gonna change everything, you always be by their side" " I, Kyohei Yamamoto born with hunter genes and being part of the order of the Shadow Hunters refuse to be your partner of life and I demand my substitution and the new assingnment of a new hunter or species mate for our leader Keishre Reddington"
(Oh right I forgot to tells you that hunters have a protocol for rejections too is more diplomatic than the wolf one but is still there)
With a smile on my face (actually I was smiling, come on someone who calls his mate a monster never loved her so Im happy to be free of him) Is a pleasure for me Keishre Reddington to accept your immediately substitution without regardnesses, I wont complain about your decision, and as a future leader I command you will gonna have a fair punishment for being disrespectful through your leader" I replied
" Youre gonna avenge to me for rejecting you?" - he asked surprised
" No, im not gonna punish you for rejects me, Im gonna punish you for calling your leader a monster and disgusting, you had the choice to break up with me in good terms and that will be alright instead you insulted me" "Lets get out of here Daina" "I still dont understand why my brother is still talking about mates when is the girl who is supposed to smell his scent first, is kinda stupid"
"Oh no, you havent forgive him for not being on your birthday because he was with his friends" Daina said
"He wasnt with them, he moved with them, then barely I see him without them, accordingly to grandma he was trying to help them to find their lost childhood friend" - I said mad
"Talking about friends, you never found those children?" -A curious Daina asked
"I told you this morning that I havent Daina"
"Yeah, right, more purple hair"
While we were walking I felt a hand in my back pushing me until I almost fall to the ground, and I felt someone grabbing me.
"That will gonna teach you fatty" - said my brother's friend Nightfire Pack Beta's Kenai Miller.
"Dont you dare to touch my friend again idiot" said Daina holding her fist and giving him a deadly glare (Daina isnt only my best friend, shes a warrior) Kenai ignores her and moking about it said: "Look the bloodsucker is her friend, lets hope he didnt hurt her"
" I could be whatever you want but I can assure you I will never hurt her, besides you said that youre better than us but you can recognize the obvious" Then he turned to me, " why you came? You should be in the hospital i know whats going on" I gave him a shut up glare. " I wont say anything but youre going to the hospital"
"Is you right? Youre the one they chose?" I said weakly
"How do you know that?"
" You always watch but never get closer, you look really worried like you could loose something important, but you can chose to not to be closer to a monster" I replied
" Why I would choose that? I have to be an idiot, dont tell me about monsters because Im a monster too and you knows that, I couldn't ask for someone better, just letting you know Im gonna protect you even from your mates if necessary, I know who you are, curiosity was stronger than our differences and by the way Im Maxwell but for you Im Maxxie"
I smiled weakly then everything when dark, I woke up on a white room with blood and IV connected to me, my grandpas were beside me.
"Darling youre awake" -Maxxie said. "Mr. And Mrs. Reddington Keishre is awake"
Grandma and Grandpa woke up from an apparently brief sleep.
"Honey youre okay?"
"Yes grandma Im okay just the stupid anemia again"
"Keish, can I ask why this... This young man is here?"- Grandpa asked me
" Hes my mate, kyohei rejected me and called me a monster then the council substitute him for Maxwell, it was to fast, but Maxwell is another hybrid hes half hunter".
"How did you knew" - Maxwell said surprised
" Your hair have the red highlights from the hunters so youre not a pure blood"
"He called you what?? Monster??? They have been killing our species for centuries and he called my grand daughter a monster???" " Honey calm down, keishre is the important matter now" said grandma. " Yes youre alright and Maxwell.you cant tell anyone yet that shes our grand daughter" -Grandpa said menacingly
"If I was interested I will tell that to everyone a while ago but I didnt and now how you can see I dont have plans to do it" -Maxwell replied
"How long I've been here?" I ask confused with a lightly headache
"Two days" Max answered
" So the party is over?"
" That was a disaster, your brother..." I abruptly interrupted Grandma. " Hes not my brother, dont calls him that way, hes another bully, another jerk" ( I dont know why I was mad at him)
"So Mason made the party to find his and his friends mates but even when the packs were there and almost all university were there too they didnt find them" (a smile crossed my mouth, they couldnt find their mates thats a fair punishment for them and I didnt have to lay a finger, and the most weird thought was in my mind: I didnt want them to find a mate because I want them, it most be for the headache or something Im getting crazy) I know they dont like you honey but they will be making shifts to take care of you because we have to complete our Alpha duties. We will be back later honey"
"What? Youre leaving me with the enemy??" (I was scared for the first time not of them, I was scared about this new toughts)
