At first I thought it was a joke but I realized he was very serious when he brought out my mother's luggage which was a 'Ghana must go bag' and sacked mom pitifully from the house.Hmmmm, this was how it all began.

My dad used to love my mother more than anything else in this world but all that love went down the drain when sister Araba my mom's best friend sang songs of lies about my mother cheating to my dad.My dad's attitude towards my mom from that very day changed to the worst. He never left house keeping money for us whenever he was going to work .

Mama Angel,my mom will use her 'susu' savings to buy sachet water for me to carry around selling after school and from the little coins we made she prepares supper for the family. My food was always without fish but my dad's decorated with different kinds of meat.He always came home late and drunk that he never ate my mom's food but anytime Mama Angel tries to ask him why,it becomes something else.He would punch my mother so hard in the face,so hard that a man pounding fufu feels he is not exerting any energy in the fufu he is pounding.

Mom became a punching bag for my dad every evening but because of the love she had for him,she never complained to her parents.Mama Angel,my mom always used to cry to God but it seems my mom's voice has faded out from my father's maltreatment so Good could not hear her in heaven.Oneday,my dad as drunk as he was that night was involved in a fatal motor accident and was admitted at Alpha hospital.Following day,mom sold out her only kente cloth and other possessions of hers to help pay the hospital bill of my dad .

After Eamon was discharged from the hospital his ugly attitude towards my mom increased after all mom has done for him.Now mom has no beautiful clothes and all that she wears are just some pieces of rag.

She became the talk of the town, every single finger pointing straight to her as the woman who came to Eamon's house as beautiful as the colours of the rainbow and as fair as the white lady.Oh I won't boast too much about her beauty but in simple terms her name perfectly fits her,she was indeed an angel.Hmmm, now she is as wrinkled as an eighty-nine years old woman.
