Breakfast with parents

Dring! Dring!

It's 7 am in the morning. Waking up is always the hardest part of the day. School starts at 9 am, but I have to wake up two hours before school starts. I can't go to school with out a hair shower or I will be scratching my hair. It takes me 1 hour to shower and I am a quite slow breakfast eater too. Even though it's Summer, it's always cold when I get out of the bed. So I go straight to the shower and turn on the tap 20 degrees clockwise from the hot water section. So it's quite a hot shower. My parents said it's bad to have full hot shower because it's bad for my skin. Like I care!

After I had a shower and dressed up for school, I descended down the stair to the dinning room. My parents were already eating breakfast. I hesitated and glanced at them.

"Good morning, sweetie!" The first one to speak to me was my dad. He was sitting at the edge of the table, eating spoonful of cornflakes.

"Hi," I replied as I pour some milk into a bowl.

"So what's up?" He took a bite of from his cereal.

"Dad? I am leaving home," I poured some cornflakes into the bowl with milk.

"What?" He stood up with a shock.

"Vanessa! You were actually serious yesterday?" Mum started speaking with 'shock horror' in her face.

"Yea! Duh!" I rolled my eyes.

"I am really sorry dear, please don't leave us! You don't have to sign the the contract," she said worriedly. Wow! I never knew it will be this easy to make my mum change her mind.

"Whatever," I smiled and picked my bag from the sofa. "I am going!"

I gave a cheek kiss to my parents and headed outside. It's quite warm outside. About 34 degrees. Walking to school is easy. I just have to cross the 10m wide road and there, I am at school.
