I'm laying on the grass with Brian, our papers are all over the place cause we quit studying after ten minutes of work. Brian is now asleep, our fingers are intertwined.
I turn on the side to look at him, randomly stroking his cheek with my thumb, and smiling at the sight.
His mouth is slightly opened, he has a relaxed expression and the wind is moving his magnificent curls smoothly.
Breathtaking.
When I turn back around I see Victoria towering over us and after a second I am covered in water. Cold water.
Brian is gasping, shaking his books rapidly.
"What the h-"
"You're a dickhead, Roger Taylor. I hope he notices it before he gets hurt."
I frown and I turn to Brian, noticing his expression. It's the same expression he has when something upsets him more than it should.
He gets up and picks the bin which was earlier filled with water, and throws it into the small lake, gritting his teeth.
"What is wrong with you?! You come here, pour water all over MY books just because some boy doesn't like you and had told you like twenty times now, ruining our afternoon...? And you have the audacity to offend him? Well I'm sorry, but he can do whatever he wants! If he wants to fuck a girl and then leave her, he can. Stop bothering us."
"But I need R-"
"If I see your face ever again I'm gonna report you for stalking behaviour. Do you understand?"
I gaze at Brian with fear, but also amusment. I've never seen him like this before.
He takes my hand and drags me away, squeezing it a little too hard.
"Bri... you're killing my hand."
"Oh. Sorry love." He lets go of it, smiling sadly at the ground.
"I'm sorry for snapping like that. I was dead mad."
"It's okay, thank you for standing up for me." I kiss his cheek and he hugs me lovingly.
Then we stare into each others eyes.
"Sometimes it feels like we're not pretending..." Says Brian, stroking my cheek for a second.
I keep looking at his bright eyes, and I kiss his cheek a little too long.
It's normal wanting to kiss your friend's face all the time, right?
