Taking off my mask, I watched as tears fell down his cheekbones, dropping to the sand below our feet. We stood there in silence as he was trying to see if this was a dream or not. After a while, he turned around and started to walk away. I felt like my whole world collapsed, the only person I actually loved, was walking away from me. My heart squeezed, as tears started to build up in my eyes. Is this really happening? Jungkook's black hoodie disappeared out of my sight, my knees gave out from under me causing me to crash to the ground weeping.

Y/n: I love you Jungkook.

I whispered, knowing nobody would hear.

The sun was setting behind me, stars started to scatter across the dark sky. Did he not believe me or did he hate me? I was unwanted by the people I thought we supposed to protect me, the only person I have left that I can trust is my cousin. But, yet again, I don't know if he knew about what Uncle did to destroy my life. Cool air swept over me, helping me relax a bit, but the feeling of regret still stuck deep down inside of me. I lay down and stare up into the void of sparkling lights far up in the darkness. Tears stained my cheeks as I remember what my life has turned into.

Jungkook's POV

I walked away from her because I just couldn't take looking at her anymore. I didn't know if I was dreaming, or if the love of my life was actually alive and standing in front of me. The sky turned into a dark blue, and the streets were illuminated by the high lamp posts. How could she still be alive? Needing to clear my thoughts, I walked down to the dock and laid down facing the stars, thinking I would be staring up at the same sky as the person who majorly affected my life. Pulling out my phone, my finger hovered over top of the new number. Clicking on the call button and waiting for her to answer. The line rang, for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, the phone was picked up.

*Phone Call*

Jungkook: Y/n?

There was utter silence.

Jungkook: Y/n, please answer me.

I begged, feeling the pool in my eye starting to fill up.

Y/n: do you know the feeling of betrayal?

She sounded weak and tired.

Y/n: I felt that way when you told me I had died 2 months ago.

Jungkook: What do you mean?

Y/n: It wasn't my fault that I disappeared as I did, Jungkook.

Her voice quivered like she was trying not to breakdown.

Jungkook: Where did you go?

Y/n: Why did you walk away?

She mumbled, ignoring my question.

Jungkook: I....I didn't know. I didn't know if it was actually you.

Y/n: But, you could have stayed. And maybe asked me, instead of leaving me behind, you don't even know what I've been going through.

Jungkook: I know, and I'm sorry. I just need time to think.

Y/n: I understand.

She sighed.
