It's 12am indicating it's my 16th birthday. I slept peacefully until my Step-dad came towering in.
SD: WAKE UP YOU UGLY BITCH!
I shot up to see my crying mom. He dragged me out of the bed to the bathroom.
SD: Shower, get dressed and pack your clothes bc your 16 and you finna get the hell up outta here!
He left out the bathroom and I took a shower did my hygiene brushed my hair and got dressed:

We didn't have much. We lived in apartments. I packed my bag and my mom came in.
Mom: Here. My numbers in it.
I looked at the small flip phone she gave me and then stuffed it in my bra. I looked to my small room one more time:

I got into the truck as he pulled off. We went to the adoption center and he got me checked in and I said goodbye to my mom one more time.
3 Weeks Later
My room door open and the caretaker came in.
C.T.: You've officially been adopted.
I got up and got my bags. I walked out and was greeted by a woman.
She was really pretty.
C.T.:Ms.Gaulden this is Mia. Mia this is your new mom Teelee.
Me: Hi.
Teelee: Hey baby come on.
We left and walked to the parking lot and got into a car:
