Prologue

It was dark and I was running in a forest, I could feel the cold wet ground, the vibrations running up through my legs. Black invaded my vision, I couldn't tell if it was the night or if it was the exhaustion catching up to me. I couldn't  remember why I was running or what I was running from, but I did know that I couldn't stop. I could never stop. Something was chasing me and it wanted blood. Trees whipped past me, branches menacingly leaning out and reaching for me. Suddenly all the strength left me and I collapsed to the ground, "please..." I gasped.

I woke up with a start, the sweat running in rivets down my spine, "It's not real okay, nothing

I could hear someone screaming and screaming, it wasn't until my parents rushed into my room begging to know what happed did I realise that I was screaming. I quickly shut my mouth and told them it was nothing and to go back to sleep. As soon as they closed the door behind them I leaned forward and I cradled my head in my hands. "It's not real, it's not real. He can't find me; no one knows who I was." I was muttering these words over and over again feeling the trickling of the salty wet tears running down my face. After god knows how long of trying to calm myself down the tears stopped, sitting up I looked at my alarm clock which read 1:40. Leaning back onto my soft tear stained pillow I started to drift off to sleep only to be woken up again by my phone ringing signifying that I had gotten a message, curious I wondered who the hell would be texting me now. "I'm home sweetheart." The words lit up my screen and sent me plunging back into my past and my darkest fears. He was back. As the words echoed around my head I felt myself slipping into another panic attack.
