Last Day Before The First Day

"David Dobrik is by far the hottest person in the 'Vlog Squad' Kierra! Are you blind? He has a freaking Tesla, cute ass merch, and a kick ass bank account. What more could you want from a man that does vlogs for a living?! Hello,Earth to Kierra! Lady,are you even listening to me?". I slowly roll off my best friend's couch, while rubbing my eyes that are still full of sleep. "I was listening to you, but come on Cassidy think of your boyfriend. What would Ryan think if you left him for someone else? He would be crushed!".  She twisted her chair so she could see me from the kitchen island; still putting on her makeup for the night.

"Kierra, do you really think he would care? He would move on to the next piece of hotness, and forget my name in a day". Which was true; Ryan is a huge dick! He still hits on me every time I see him;, and he even does it in front of Cassidy. "I don't understand why you wear all of that makeup for him when he doesn't even deserve you.". She used to never wear make-up, and she loved it that way. But, as soon as Ryan mentioned that if she wore makeup, he would love her more she has been painting her face more than Vincent Van Goh painted in his entire career.

"You'll understand when you fall in love Kierra, and you will. Look just because your parents didn't work out shouldn't make you bitter towards the best thing in the world". I shot her a knowing look, because its not just my parents that drove me way from love it was my last boyfriend, Liam. He was awful, as a boy friend and a human. He degraded me in public and in private, hit me, called me names, and even made me do stuff with him that I didn't want to do. I don't know why I didn't just leave him sooner, but one day something in my bran clicked and i realized how wrong it was. So I called the police and they came to his house. He confessed to everything including the fact that he was also trafficking drugs into the U.S. The court said that he wouldn't be getting out until he is at least eighty, and I say good riddance.

"You know it's not just them Cassidy, Liam wasn't what all fairy tales told me he would be so what's the point of trying again just to get hurt?". She gave me a sympathetic look and brushed her hair back. "There we go. Now time to go see my man! Don't wait up on me, and if you still need help packing tomorrow let me know okay? I miss you already!". She ran over gave a light hug right before grabbing her car keys and leaving the apartment. I look around and can't believe that his is the last night I am going to be here in this apartment, and heck this is my last night in Indiana. I can't believe I've spent so much time here; all of my childhood, teen, and some young adult years just flashed by. I take a deep breath in and pack up the rest of my stuff from our, now just Cassidy's, apartment.

I have to remind myself that I need to leave, and go to where everyone who is like me goes, California. I've been vlogging and doing videos on my Youtube channel since I was nine, and it has paid off a lot. I have 24 million of subscribers and counting; which is huge to me. It all happened when I was featured in one of Pewdiepie's videos. He said that he enjoys my work, and told people to subscribe to me. Ever since that my two million subscriber channel grew. So, I took the big leap and bought a house in California that I am moving to now. It sucks that Cassidy can't come with but she thinks that its going to break off, and plus she doesn't travel ever. She hasn't even left Indiana once, and so sadly I will be moving on without her.

I pack up the rest of my stuff, get dressed, and grab some dinner from Dairy Queen really fast. I never realized it, but that has been my routine for two years. Right after I had my twentieth birthday is when I made the house purchase, and to think it took me that long to leave is crazy.

"Wow". The word echoed though the half empty apartment for what seemed like forever, and with that as my last word I went to bed.
