I cancelled my flight. As I approached her, my world stopped. The only thing that makes me deaf is the silence screaming through my ears. She was wearing my favorite dress of her. She never fails to make me so in love with her over and over again. But it’s over. She never spoke to me anymore. Because she’s somewhere.

I first met her at school. She was alone then, sitting under a tree while listening to music.

I was late then. So I was in a rush and accidentally dropped my books. I picked them up and noticed her.

We we’re junior high. She seems to be a new student because all the times, she tends to be alone.

She is a shy girl and her simplicity allures me.

“Hey, can I sit with you?” I asked

“I guess” she replied

“So what are you listening to?” I inquired

She removes her earphones and plugged them in my ear. I was surprised because I thought her music tastes includes One Direction and other pop bands that girls die for.

“Cause I can’t come back home till they’re singing…”

“La, la la la, la la la”

The harmony and the blend we made were like a fantasy, enchanting enough to capture a heart. Aside from her deep blue eyes and blonde hair, her voice and her lips called my attention. I was deeply in love.

“That was nice” I said. “What’s your name?” I asked

“Annaliese Gilmore”

“My name is Drew Bryson, maybe we should hang out more? “

She smiled and stood up.

“I have class; it was nice meeting you Drew” she chimed

She walked away. And I’m so dumb enough that I forgot to ask her number.

Maybe if destiny was true, it will find a way to cross our hearts together. Her voice was stuck in my head.

“La, la la la, la la la”

I hope the song will be my guide. Things will surely happen eventually.

I stood up, looking to the ground. Something caught my eye. It was light blue. It was a guitar pick.

Today is the General Assembly. This is the time when all students gather together for a short program and entertainment.

“Drew, are you ready for later” my friend Nathan exclaimed

“Probably, I’m not used to performing live since I only do covers and upload them on YouTube for the sake of other’s entertainment” I stammered .

Well ever since I started singing, it was my dream to perform in front of many people. It was my dream to be an artist who write songs and sing them.

After few minutes of opening remarks and orientations, it was my turn to perform at the stage. I’m having chills. But I must do this

“Performing Ever Enough, please welcome Drew Bryson” The Emcee said loudly.

I set up my guitar immediately and look through my wallet for a pick. I saw that unique blue pick which I found under the tree because usually the colors of my picks are black. I remembered the girl who captured my eyes. I remembered Annaliese.
