"Sayonara Jimin" i said to my brother and left the café for another work day.
Jimin had been my step brother for almost two months. I was happy that my mother finally found love again and since I grew up alone I wasn't very sad about a step brother. He was very busy but just knowing that I can have a brother is amazing. My step father treated me like his own real daughter, he was really nice and tried his best to help my mother at the café. Both he and Jimin could help us with the money but my mother won't let them. My mom and I moved here from Japan. I do use some words when I talk to Jimin but I try using as much Korean as possible.
Walking out on that big bridge again I started handing the flyers out again. People would take them but then later on I watched them throwing the papers away. I got so excited yesterday when that boy wanted the directions. It felt like the first time someone actually cared about what I'm trying to do. He really was a nice boy, sadly I never got to know his name. I've seen him around a few times, usually with a friend. I think he knows Jimin but I've never seen them together outside. I could recognize that boxy smile anywhere, he really was something. Unique must be the word.
People pass by me, some checked the paper and gave it back, some took it and threw it away. Some people were actually nice and asked me for directions and I happily told them. My mother needed as much help as possible.
"Hey" a voice said behind me and I immediately turned around. I didn't recognize the voice, neither did I even know the person. I just looked at him, the bridge was getting empty on people so it was just me and him here.
"H-hi" I stuttered and he just smiled. It wasn't one of those smiles that showed that he was happy, I couldn't decide if it even was a smile or a smirk. He approached me and I slowly backed away the closer he came. He took my hand and held me in his grip so I couldn't stay away from him.
I tried to break free but he only held tighter making it hurt. I dropped the papers and kept trying to break free but it didn't seem to work. I felt tears in my eyes as I thought he would take me somewhere and since my strength wasn't enough, I couldn't fight back. Until he got cut off.
"Hey!" I heard a familiar voice say. The person turned around and looked who it was. Looking over his shoulder, I saw Jimin and the boy from yesterday. "Let her go" He continued. He still didn't let go and just chuckled.
"Or what?" Jimin stopped him from going forward and tried to keep himself calm too.
"Hey man we don't want any harm just let her go, it's two against one" Jimin said keeping the boy behind him. The boy had his anger rising inside him. I felt how the person's grip loosened and he felt like this was no match. "Now leave" The person sighed and gave Jimin an angry face as he left.
I ran up to Jimin and hugged him tight. I buried my face in his chest and he slowly put his arms around me, keeping me close. When I pulled away I looked at the familiar boy and smiled.
"I'm Taehyung"
