the short brunette filled up a full glass of water and ran to take it out to the garden for the plants.

his slightly wet hand gripped onto the glass as he speed walked through his boyfriend's large house.

suddenly, the glass slipped from his hands and fell to the floor in a shattered mess.

he paused abruptly, but he had already stepped on some of the glass with his bare feet.

the shards shot pain up his legs, and he tried to walk on tippy toes out of the middle of the glass, water, and now blood salad.

unfortunately for jimin, who was walking weakly on his toes trying to step away from any glass shards, a small clear jagged piece lodged itself into his big toe causing him to lose his balance and slip on the wet floor.

he winced and shrieked as more of his body was exposed to the poking of the glass shards and the water soaked into his shirt, making it not only painful, but horribly uncomfortable.

laying spread out on the floor, trying to get up, he continuously struggled to put his hands on a place with no glass, but failed each time.

tears built up in his eyes, blurring his vision as he tried to escape the pain on his body.

he sat up, pieces of glass poking out of the back of his head, his butt ached with the pain the glass had caused and tears streamed in a quick and steady flow.

he sobbed, crying out to his boyfriend over and over.

jimin wanted to get up and run out of the glass lake, but all the strength in his body drained out with the blood.

jimin tried to slide on his butt out of the mess, but more and more glass shards lodged into his body, like needles in a pincushion.

jimin felt like a (barely) living, (barely) breathing pincushion at this moment, and he yelled through his agonized sobs for namjoon to help him, but no one replied.

the boy made the foolish decision to try to get to his phone to call for help.

he turned around, putting his knees on the ground and regretting it immediately.

jimin turned back, a permanent grimace on his face, and laid down again slowly.

he screamed for namjoon one last time and gave up.

the brunette stayed limp on the floor, now with luckily almost no glass.

however, all the glass was sticking out of him.

he heard footsteps on the stairs and his eyes shot open in hope, he yelled the name of the boy walking down the stairs.

the tall boy ran down the stairs when he heard jimin's outcry.

many feelings flashing on his face, he ran to jimin, but after putting on slippers, of course.

jimin, who was battling losing consciousness, whispered for help, so quietly that namjoon didn't hear him.

"what happened, jimin. what did you do?!"

namjoon's voice raised with each word, his confusion shifting into frustration when jimin didn't respond.

      "jimin, answer me! what happened?!"

the boy grabbed jimin's shoulders and shook him over and over.

not unexpectedly, namjoon was a strong man, and he sometimes forgot how much power he had.

this was one of those times.

namjoon repeatedly lifted and banged jimin on the wet floor, causing the glass shards to dig deeper into his back and head.

"JIMIN, FUCKING TALK TO ME! WHAT HAPPENED!"

jimin tried to open his mouth and muster a few audible words, but the jerking of his head on the wood floor was too much for him too endure.

jimin wasn't as strong as namjoon.

jimin finally ran to the light at the end of the tunnel.

namjoon woke up in a sweat.

unwanted memories flowed back, reversing a year of therapy.

he scanned his bleak surroundings and concluded that he was in a hospital room.

his neck was stiff and covered in a thick and fluffy white brace, and he suddenly remembered what happened.

namjoon laid his head back on the hospital pillow in defeat, an exhausted sigh escaping his lips.

the boy had gotten more than enough sleep after he saw his love, but he was tired of something else.

he was tired of being alone, being without the light of his life: park jimin.

he thought about how jimin left him. and he tried to do so as calmly as possible, but tears still sprung up in his eyes.

namjoon was still running through a tunnel of his own, searching for the light to lead him home.
