bonnie came over to us.
"now, now," he said, "there's no need to fight." he smiled. "have some pizza, you'll feel better in no time." he opened his arms and backed away, as if saying, 'go ahead.'our eyes lingered in his direction for a few seconds, analyzing this robotic figure in front of us. we turned back to the table, seeing two bright paper plates being placed down in front of us, filled with two slices of pepperoni pizza. maisie and i looked at eachother, confused and suprised, and then began eating. every animatronic watched us eat.
the pizza was okay. it definitely wasn't as good as mommy used to make, but not much can possibly meet that expectation. god, her pizzas were delicious. the cheese was the perfect consistency: not too stringy, not too dry, the pepperoni was nice and crispy, and the crust had an unusual sweetness to it that somehow made it even better. she always knew how to perfectly balance the sauce:cheese:crust ratio so every bite was perfect. i miss mommy.
we finished with our pizzas quickly (we were very hungry) and daddy wiped our mouths clean with our napkins. i excused myself from the table and wandered towards the back of the restaurant. "where are you headed?", a voice spoke from the stage. i looked over to see freddy, holding his microphone low in his hand and smiling. "where's the bathroom?" i responded, in a small voice, slightly intimidated by the situation i got myself in. "oh, follow me," he said, stepping off the stage.
he reached out his hand for me to grab. i reluctantly grabbed his wrist. my hands slipped through one of the gaps in his fake fur and touched the metal plates and copper wires that made up the inside of his suit. the feel of the cold metal on my skin startled me, making me jolt my hand off of the metal, moving my grip slightly higher on his wrist where there were no gaps.
freddy began leading me away from maisie and daddy. he brought me into a narrow, dimly-lit hallway, scattered with metal doors on each wall. there were a few posters that filled up the empty space on the wall. they all looked like advertisements. we walked a few more steps, passing about 7 doors in total, before turning right. he stopped and pointed to a door with the word 'women' carved into it. the word was not nicely placed on with plastic letters like most restroom doors, this writing was carved into the door with a sharp tool.
"go ahead," he spoke, signaling me ahead. in the quiet of this hallway, i could hear his machinery whirring and his cold, metal plates clanking together as he moved. i let go of his wrist and stepped toward the door. the door creaked as i pushed it open slowly. at first glance, the bathroom needed cleaning. the tile that very obviously used to be white had a yellowish tint to it, especially in the corners.
i took one step into the bathroom. one step before i heard a metallic click behind me. everything went black within seconds.
