The first day back had went well for the group. The classes were good, no one had started drama or had heard of any being started, and Hayden had even joined the group for lunch. When the school day ended, Liam had to head back to his car to get his things for lacrosse practice. Alexis was already in the stands working in her homework, waiting for the practice to be over. Mason was walking to his car and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked at Liam.
"You haven't even tried to talk to him today." Liam closed the trunk of his car and looked at his best friend.
"I said three weeks, not till the end of the day." Liam looked at him as he pulled his bag over his shoulder.
"I wouldn't hold it off, a lot of girls have their eye in him. Everyone knows he's the cute new boy at school with a mysterious past." Liam rolled his eyes at Mason before he walked off.
"You need to stop knowing everything about everyone." Liam called out over his shoulder as he made his way to the boys locker room.
Alexis was watching some if the guys start to show up, throwing their things on the benches. She rolled her eyes at the way they would try to flirt with girls. They all thought that they were all that, just because they thought they would be on the front line. Alexis had already watched some of the summer practices, and she had already called who was going to be on the front line. Theo was talking to a group of girls, that had ran up to him, when he spotted Alexis. He excused himself and made his way over to her, with the goal to strike up a conversation.
"Hi, I'm Theo. We're in bio three together." Theo smiled as he walked up to her, trying to keep it sweet and simple. Alexis smiled as she looked up from her work, moving hair out of her face.
"I know, you're the new kid as well." She smiled with a small laugh. "I'm Alexis."
Alexis smiled as she held out her hand. Theo smiled and took her hand in his, he realized how soft her skin was. He had to force himself to pull his hand back, making sure she didn't notice. He looked around to see that there wasn't anyone else's things by her, and wondered why she was there. He the wondered if she was there watching a boyfriend, knowing if that was true he should walk away.
"So is this just were you go to do homework?" Theo questioned, as he sat down one below her, earning a small laugh from Alexis.
"No, my brother is the captain of the team. My car is in the shop, so I have to wait until he's done." Alexis said as she looked back down at her notes as she copied something before looking back up.
"That makes since, but why not ask one of your friends for a ride?" Theo asked, trying to see if she could still if she had a boyfriend.
"I don't mind waiting, besides I like watching. Lacrosse is my favorite sport that this school has." Alexis smiled at him, trying to keep things simple. She knew that her brother was building a crush on this boy, she wasn't about to step in and ruin it.
"Isn't the sport a little to violent-" Theo began to question before he was cut off.
"For a girl?" Alexis smiled with a laugh. "Last year we had a girl on the team, and she was one of the best."
"Then why don't you play?" Theo asked and Alexis lost her smile and looked down at her work.
"I can't." She said softly as she went back to her work. Theo had a worried look on his face as he went to scratch the back of his neck.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." Theo said softly and Alexis lightly shook her head.
"Don't worry about it, it was my fault." She sighed and looked up at him. "How would you know anyways?" She softly smiled at him.
