Beauty Is A Fleeting Memory

As I sit under a tree
At the top of a hill.
I feel like a star
As I sit very still.

I hear a "boom" followed by a "crackle".
I look up to the sky,
And my eyes widen
As I start to cry.

The sky is alive with beauty.
The streets flood with little dots.
It looks like there's a million of them,
All sitting in special spots.

Everyone is watching awe
As the streets light up with colors.
The sky continues to make noise
And everyone kisses their lovers.

Everyone starts to go away.
Smoke in the sky starts to flee.
The grounds are littered with garbage.
As I sit under a tree.

A/N: I almost cried while writing this.
