Prologue

        Thousands of years ago, ancient wolf packs roamed the land. These packs were ruled by their system of dominance. Alphas and Omegas. These rankings could not be changed. An Omega stayed an Omega. An alpha stayed an alpha. It was a gender of sorts. Usually, alphas were male and Omegas female... however there would occasionally be a mix up in genes. A mutation. A male Omega would be born or a female alpha. A male whom could become pregnant, and a female whom could impregnate. Then there were Lunas, who carried no special trait like alphas and omegas. These wolves would evolve and the mutation would cease to exist. Some alphas and omegas would keep the ability to change to their feral form. A creature with heightened senses and driven by instinct.
        These second genders would become a rarity. The ape descendent would come to be known as betas and would dominate the world. However. Betas are not nearly as fertile as alphas and Omegas. An alpha/Omega pair has a 95% pregnancy rate, where a beta and beta have only 50%. With the amount of alphas and Omegas dwindling down to mere hundreds, science had to step in. Embryos were donated. Research began. Dna discovered Frozen in ice. Eventually, a male Omega was born. Male Omegas have a 99.9% pregnancy rate. The population may have been saved. That was nearly 50 years ago. Since then more has been discovered about the mutated Gene. Omegas go into monthly heats that last 3-4 days. They will then have a menstrual cycle within a week if not impregnated. The scent of an Omegas heat will send nearby alphas into a frenzy of lust and desire to procreate with the Omega. Suppressants have been made to help this as well as scent cover oils. This goes for females, and male Omegas as well. Male omegas were at first treated like royalty.
        That didn't last long. It was unnatural for a male to be pregnant. They were slowly shunned and looked down on. Having an Omega in the family became bad luck. Omega males would be beaten and raped in the street only because they exist. Omegas were required to wear collars to inform the public of their gender. Society was ruled by alphas as more were in existence. Omegas were the untouchables. The dirt and garbage that no one paid mind to if only to wrinkle their nose. Abuse and descrimination toward Omegas was legal. Omegas were to submit and obey. This began 50 years ago. Nothing much has changed since then. Much being the key word.
