Beyonce ha retirado una demanda de marcas registradas de hace años contra una compañía de Texas por vender ropa centrada en el compromiso bajo el nombre de "Feyonce". Un juez federal de Nueva York desestimó el caso a solicitud del cantante, según los registros judiciales presentados el miércoles.
La superestrella se quejó por primera vez de los artículos a principios de 2015 y dijo que el juego de palabras causaría confusión con sus fans. Uno de los artículos sobresalientes de Feyonce fue una taza que incluía la frase "él puso un anillo en ella", un guiño al éxito de Beyonce en 2008, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Un año más tarde, se presentó una demanda que alegaba que sus derechos de marca habían sido infringidos.
Según Reuters y Law360, un juez federal rechazó en octubre la solicitud de Beyonce de una orden judicial permanente para detener la venta de los artículos, diciéndoles a ambas partes que discutan las fechas del juicio o que encuentren un camino para resolver el caso. En diciembre, Beyonce solicitó al tribunal que desestimara el caso, aunque no está claro qué llegaron a un acuerdo entre las dos partes.
