"Welcome Sir Drew." Said Ella, the receptionist here at BrightWorks.

"Good morning." I greeted.

"It seems like you're thirty minutes late today sir. It's unusual. You usually come on time." She said.

"Yeah something happened and I have to take care of it." I reasoned. "Anyway, is everybody at the meeting room already?"

"Yes, sir." She replied. "They are only waiting for you."

"Okay got it."

There was a short pause. She turned to look on my side behind me. I looked behind and found out she was looking at Ethan who is wandering his eyes around the area. I turned to face Ella again.

"This is Ethan." I pointed out. "He is a helper at home."

Ethan turned his attention towards us.

"Oh. Nice to meet you sir." She greeted with a smile.

"It's also nice to meet you ma'am." Ethan replied.

"He is such a good-looking man." Ella said as she leaned on her desk closer to us. "How old is he?"

I laughed.

"Don't try to hit on him now, Ella." I said and she frowned.

"Come on, sir." She pleaded.

I looked at Ethan and he was giving her an awkward smile. I turned back to her and shook my head.

"Where's my secretary?" I asked.

"Oh Ma'am Bea is at the lobby. She's been waiting you for so long."

"Alright. Thank you." I said. "Let's go, Ethan."

We started to walk towards the lobby.

"You haven't answered my question yet!" Ella shouted. "Sir!"

The lobby is not far from here. Still, Ethan and I managed to start a conversation.

"I don't feel right being here." Ethan said.

"Hmm? Why?"

"It's just that... everything is luxurious. Everybody all seems to be rich. I don't feel like I belong here."

I stopped. He stopped as well. I turned to face him.

"Ethan, don't think like that." I said. "Don't think so lowly of yourself. You are welcome here. We mind our own businesses so please don't overthink like you don't belong here. Plus, you're with me. You have nothing to worry about."

We stood there for what feels like hours. Until we were interrupted by a voice.

"Sir Drew!"

It's Bea. She had been my secretary since the first day I worked here. She's at her twenty fifth year of age. Even though she is older than me, she still respects me as her superior.

"I've been waiting for you for so long." She added. "Come on now. The managers of the other department is there already. We must hurry."

Before she was able to grab my hand, she noticed Ethan.

"And who is this handsome man?" She asked.

"He's Ethan, a helper at home." I explained.

"Hmph. You will replace me with a man?" She frowned.

I laughed. "Don't act like you're in a relationship with me. You're way older than me."

She let out an angry face. "Hey, I'm not that old. Anyway, let's hurry."
