As the vehicles approach the front gates of the community, Jaxxson stares all around, hoping that Merle and Daryl will be here. He crawls up to the front seats where Brian sits. "Do you have anybody named Merle or Daryl in there?" He asks. "No." Brian replies. Jaxxson nods and backs away from the passenger seat. The truck comes to a stop and the driver shows ID to the soldier on watch. "Alright, good to go! Wayne! Do a round about and check the perimeter! Let's make sure these undead fuckwads aren't in the vicinity!" The soldier yells. The gate opens and the truck cruises its way into the community. They reach the parking lot and the truck stops. Everyone exits and Jaxxson glares around. "This is... wow." Jaxxson can only respond. In the distance, he notices buildings leaning onto each other and some blown off. He turns around to Brian. "What happened in the city?" He asks. "The military thought it was best to bomb the cities where the dead were most active. Turns out that there were more walking dead corpses." Brian answers. Jaxxson glances down at his dog tags. "I see you were a marine. How long did you serve?" Brian questions. Jaxxson looks at Brian. "Five years. They said I was good to leave and I did without hesitation. I was glad to leave. I got home and I didn't have a job, a house, a car, I had nothing until my grandfather came into the equation and gave me a family." Jaxxson answers. Brian nods. "Well, come on. I have to show you around." Jaxxson and Brian walk together as Brian shows Jaxxson the community. "That's where we practice our shooting." Brian points out as Jaxxson notices young kids and soldiers shooting silenced weapons. "Good thing the kids know the difference between a knife and a gun. Loud and quiet. They have to be prepared for this world." Jaxxson comments. They continue walking as Jaxxson looks around. "This is where you go if you need medical attention. If you got a wound, or hell, even a migraine, this'll be the place to go." Brian comments. They continue walking. As the approach the main building, Jaxxson continues to look around in amazement. Brian and Jaxxson enter inside and he looks around, noticing how big the building is from the inside. "How many people do you have here?" Jaxxson asks. "Over fifty thousand. We have many outposts and some are stationed there, as we don't have enough room for everyone inside the walls. Surely you can understand." Brian answers. "I do." Jaxxson replies. "Come on. I'm taking you to the meet the lady who calls the shots." Brian responds. "The lady who calls the shots?" Jaxxson questions. Brian turns around and nods. "I'm taking you to meet Pamela."

In the Office

The door opens and both Brian and Jaxxson step inside. Pamela sits in her chair with her hands locked in her desk with a smile on her face. "Ma'am. Meet Jaxxson Mack. A former United States Marine." Brian introduces. Pamela stands up and approaches Jaxxson. She holds her hand out. "It's very nice to meet you, Jaxxson. I take it you were handled well?" Pamela asks. Jaxxson smiles. "Yes ma'am." He answers and shakes her hand. "Tell me about yourself." Pamela comments. Jaxxson and Pamela both place themselves in chairs. "To begin, I was nothing but some redneck trying to make a living. Then when I was eighteen, my grandfather influenced me to join the Marines because he joined when he was younger. I took his advice and it was one hell of an experience. I came back after serving five years and had no job or anything. My grandfather offered to initiate me in his motorcycle club and without hesitation, I agreed." Jaxxson starts. Pamela seems very interested. "A motorcycle club? What for?" She asks. "Ma'am, I had nothing when I came back home. I had no job, no house, no transportation. My grandfather noticed and thought that joining him would be best. It was great until there were consequences." Jaxxson answers. Pamela smiles. "Wow. A man with military experience and someone who can handle rations well. I take it you must have done some things you didn't like." Pamela responds. Jaxxson nods. "Yes I have. Although we tried to stay away from illegal activities, we were dragged into them by other clubs and well, I'm sure you can figure out what happened afterwards." Jaxxson replies. Pamela stands up. "Jaxxson. Please stand with me." She requests. Jaxxson does so. She holds her hand out and he places his hand in hers. "We would love to have you here. Men with military experience are an asset to us and we need all the muscle we can get. We would love for you to be part of the Commonwealth. Will you accept?" Jaxxson glances over to the man in the red armor and then back at Brian who nods. Jaxxson faces Pamela and smiles. "Yes ma'am, I will accept." He answers. Pamela nods in response. "We will take you out for scavenging tomorrow. I hear you're currently looking for your cousins? Merle and Daryl, right?" Jaxxson nods. "That's right." He responds. "Do you have any clue on where they're currently located?" Pamela asks. "No ma'am. I started out in Georgia, then worked my way up. I was about to travel to the east but your soldiers and I crossed paths." Jaxxson answers. "Well, I'm glad we got you when we did." Pamela responds. Brian and the soldier in red armor exchange looks. "May I ask who you are?" Jaxxson asks. "I am Officer Mercer, the lieutenant of my army." He answers. Jaxxson nods. "It's nice to meet you." Jaxxson replies. Brian approaches behind Jaxxson and places his mouth by his ear. "It's time to go." He whispers. Jaxxson nods. "Well ma'am. Thank you for welcoming me to your community." Jaxxson thanks. "You're absolutely welcome. I hope you like what you see." Pamela replies. Jaxxson and Brian turn around and exit the office.
