I held the butter covered popcorn box in my right hand, trying to be careful of spilling any of it until I found Faith. She waved her leather and stringer bracelet covered arm once she saw me, her blue eyes twinkling.
Once i got over to my seat, I plopped the popcorn box on her lap, and i sat next to her, on the cold metal bench. "How's the game?" I questioned shifting around. "Our team sucks again, but that's no surprise." I half smiled at her. That was typical for our schools home football games to be horrible.
Faith and I have been hanging out for weeks and it was nice having a friend to hang out with, instead of going back home, where i felt as if we were dolls being controlled by a 5 year old (and of course the 5 year old has a perfect life also, just like her stupid dolls).
I rubbed the back of my neck and turned back to watching the game, the big bear mascot running out acting crazy. I giggled a little, watching him run around in circles while kids in the front threw pop cans at him.
After the game i slowly walked home, dragging my feet. Then out of no where i heard someone call out "Tristan! Wait up!" I turned to see Faith rushing after me.
"Hey girl." She said out of breath once she caught up to me. I nodded in reply, before turning my head back ahead. "So you know Sean right?" She asked, talking about Sean Anderson, a basketball player at our school. "Yeah, what about him?" "Well...he asked me out!" She cried happily. I smiled "Respect," I answered, patting her shoulder. "Anyways, you want to double date with him and I?" She asked, trying to make her voice sound sweet. I chuckled, I mean seriously, she thinks I can get a date?
"Uh, no. I'm single." I said turning to her. "That's why i signed us up for something!" Faith giggled. I ran my fingers through my hair. "What's your big plan?" I asked, "Speed dating!" She yelled making jazz hands. She was obviously high on love. "No." I continued walking with her to my house. "Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaasssseeeee?" She held out the word thinking it would make me change my mind. "Sorry Faith, i'm a single girl , I'm not going to go speed dating." She giggled in reply, "You think this is a choice." I shut my eyes for a minute, "Fine, come to my house before, okay? I dont want to do this though." She squealed. "Got it!" Then she turned and walked off, reminding me of a 12 year old girl at a Bieber concert.
