The Atlantans Book #1 (Aquaman/Arthur X Reader)

Prologue chapter #1

Is it weird that I feel like I am doing an assignment for school... you people better be happy! I am putting my second book for a Gajeel X Reader on hold! But I did kinda need a break from that... it was getting kinda boring... annnnnnnnnyway, this is my first DC character X Reader, like I said I am more of a marvel fan but I will try my best... you're probably not even reading this part because you want to start with the book so I will stop now...

It all started when you were 2 months old. Your dad was a king and your mum was a queen... you lived a happy life, even if it was only 2 months so far. Being a princess in Atlantis, you could breath and talk underwater, swim with tremendous speed, have super human strength on land, enhanced senses and nearly impenetrable skin. But like Aquaman being able to communicate with animals and command them, and Mera having the power to control water. You have a hidden power that you have yet to discover...

At the age of 2 months, (almost becoming 3) someone snuck into the palace and killed the king and Queen. This put many of the Atlanteans under stress. Not having rulers meant not having order... not having order meant everything could go into chaos... The guards tried to come to the rescue, but they were to late. They managed to chase the masked man out of the kingdom, while one of the guards found you in the baby crib unharmed. The guard took you, gave you to the King's most trusted friends that lived in Atlantis. He thought it would be the best action, for you never know if the masked figure was to return...

The civilian family agreed to take care of you, until they found out how much tough work it was to look after a baby. So they swam to a far away place, making sure no one was to find you. When they returned to Atlantis, they were to tell the guard that you have died of shock a few days later.

As a helpless baby stranded on a beach, with no home, no shelter and no food, you had no chance for survival... You started to cry as you were getting hungry. A woman in a nearby house seemed to hear you! And just in time, since it seemed like a giant storm was approaching! She hurried out with a winter jacked and a light, it was becoming darker by the second. Once she reached you, she looked into you (e/c) eyes and pointed at you then moved her finger up and down, for an unknown reason you found this funny and started to giggle. She stood up and looked around for any trace of a parent or a guardian. 

Nothing.

She decided since you don't belong to anyone she will keep you! It started to drip, so she quickly grabbed you and ran back to the house, a small furnace was lit in the wooden house. She placed you on the couch and looked into your eyes once again.

"I think, I will name you (Y/n)." She said soothingly, while playing with you. You clapped your chubby, little hands and gave her a sweet gummy smile. While the heavens where crying tonight, you had found your destiny. 

~6 years' later~

"Okay kids, this isn't your ordinary, normal, everyday museum." The teacher stated, "this museum is about the myths and legends people thought out."

You were fascinated about one of the exhibits, it was a skeleton of a dog, but it seemed to have a longer skull and bigger claws. You looked down at the name tag and it said 'Hellhound of Greek mythology normally said to appear-' you were reading but was cut off by the class prep girl.

"Eeeeeew!" She yelled in a high pitched voice, "that thing is disgusting!" She pointed to the skeleton and her little group standing behind her followed the lead. She looked at it then looked at you, "Ha! That's probably why (Y/n) likes it so much! It looks just like her!" She started to strut towards you, "You think you're special?!" disgust in her voice. She pushed you back a few steps and you almost landed on the skeleton, "Well you're not! You're just a weak little nobody that doesn't deserve to live!"

...That's when it happened...
