Chapter 8

Kenly POV
It's 4:23am and me and Daniel are about to head out to catch the plane back home. God I'm really tired. I haven't been able to sleep all night because of losing my mom. I call my sister, Marie.
"Hey sis"
"Sis what are you doing calling this late?! You should be asleep"
"I know, I know but I have to tell you something. I'm not sure if you know this or not but mom....she...passed away yesterday.....the cancer....it...it...killed...her"
"WAIT WHAT?! NO YOURE JOKING! DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THIS!"
"Sis, I'm not joking. Me and Daniel are just heading out to catch the plane back to Florida"
"Okay, what time will y'all be landing?"
"I don't know yet. I'll call you when we land."
"Okay"
End of call

Me and Daniel finally head out to the airport. I lay my head on his shoulder and try to hold the tears. I guess he notices this because he says, "it's okay babygirl it's never good to hold the tears in. Let them out. It's okay." That's when I start to cry. I cry really hard. Everyone starts to look at me and laughs a little. Daniel stands up and says "Yo guys that ain't cool! Y'all shouldn't be laughing because my girlfriend is crying! What the fuck?! Y'all should be asking what's wrong and if she's okay! I was born and Raised here and this is not how I remember the people here! People here wouldn't laugh, they would simply say 'what's wrong? Are you okay?' but nooo y'all just think it's soo funny to see my girlfriend cry. Y'all want to know why she's crying?! She just lost her mom to cancer!" I cry even harder and Daniel kisses my forehead. Then some crazy fangirl comes over and says "what the fuck is wrong with her?! She's a weirdo, why are you with her? You should be with me!" Daniel gets mad at that and says back "you're crazy for thinking that! She just lost her mom to cancer! Yes, she is a weirdo but it's cute and it's okay because so is everyone else! I'm with her because I love her! And if you can't accept that, Miya, than you should just go!" she then says "okay, I'm sorry.....wait how do you know my name?" he comes back with "I don't know. You just look like a Miya" he laughs and then comes back over to me and lifts my head up and kisses me. I kiss back.

Daniel POV
I honestly do not like how people see her cry and they laugh. It's so annoying. I stand up and say "Yo guys that ain't cool! Y'all shouldn't be laughing because my girlfriend is crying! What the fuck?! Y'all should be asking what's wrong and if she's okay! I was born and Raised here and this is not how I remember the people here! People here wouldn't laugh, they would simply say 'what's wrong? Are you okay?' but nooo y'all just think it's soo funny to see my girlfriend cry. Y'all want to know why she's crying?! She just lost her mom to cancer!" She cries even harder. I don't know what to do. Then some crazy fangirl comes over and says "what the fuck is wrong with her?! She's a weirdo, why are you with her? You just look like a Miya" I laugh a little then I sit back down and lift her head up and kiss her lips. Even though I can taste the salt from her crying on her lips, they're still so sweet and soft. I love her so much. I really do. I always have loved her.

Skip Plane Ride

Kenly POV
It is now noon and the plane just landed. Daniel woke me up saying "babygirl the plane landed" I say "okay". I get up and grab my bags and stuff then call my sister.
"Hey sis, the plane landed"
"Okay, I'm on my way"
"K see you when you get here"
