Nobody liked that dirty old street
Chipped pavement
Worn paint
A rail all bent
Lonely people
Sad steps
Unhappy face
A slow jogger with uneven pace
But it was that street
That taught them a lesson
They saw the beauty
All the shops and lovely delicatessen
The beauty was not in looks
But the thought of that street
All the places and Great people to meet
That street got them places
And that's what matters
All of the other streets
All the beauty shatters
