Becca and I walked up the stairs to our English class. I was kinda nervous because I knew Becca was going to talk to Jai in this class. We walked in and Becca walked straight up to Jai, to sit next to him. I looked around, and I saw Meaghan, so I decided to sit next to her.
'Hey Meaghan!' I said smiling. 'Hey Noah! How are you?' she asked. 'I'm fine, a bit nervous, but fine. What about you?' I replied. 'Why are you nervous? And I'm fine too, thanks' she said. 'Well, Becca is going to talk to Jai in a few minutes and you know about my hopeless crush on him, right? So that's kinda scary...' I said softly. Meaghan nodded slowly and then she said 'Aha, I understand!' I laughed, but it was a very weird laugh because I was so nervous. I decided to change the subject. 'How are things between you and James then?' By hearing the word "James" Meaghan got the biggest smile on her face, so cute! She and James were dating for... I think 3 months already. I remember when Meaghan told James about her crush on him, after that she came to me and said she had a boyfriend. I was a bit confused but then she explained me everything, and she was so excited! 'Perfect! James is the best boyfriend I could ever wish! I hope you and Jai are going to have a perfect relationship like me and James! Before I was dating him I thought he looked right through me aswell, but he didn't! Maybe it's exact the same with Jai, you never know!' Meaghan winked at me and smiled. 'I hope so.. But I'm glad everything is so good between you two, you guys are just the cutest couple ever!' I said. Then the teacher walked in, and she started the lesson. I looked at Becca every once in a while to check out what she was doing, but she was too busy with paying attention to the teacher or talking to Jai. I wondered what she was saying. I hoped she wasn't mentioning me in the conversation.. Was she talking about his crush? Or whatever? I didn't know and it made me feel weird. When finally the lesson ended, I rushed out of the classroom and I waited for Becca. She took her time with leaving the class, probably finishing her convo with Jai.
Jai's POV
I told her the truth, but she can't tell anyone about it. Only the boys and Becca know about this, no one else, and I want to keep it that way.
Luke walked towards me with his girlfriend Eva. 'Hey guys' I said. 'Hey Jai, where was that conversation about?' Luke asked me. 'Nah, not much' I answered. 'Nooo little brother, tell me!' Luke said "little brother" to tease me, he was just 2 minutes older than me. 'Well, you know, my crush' I mumbled. Luke laughed 'Ah I know. Well, are you coming with us to the canteen or what?' I nodded and we walked over to the canteen.
There, in the back of the canteen, I saw her. She sat there with her friends, laughing and eating a sandwich. She probably looks right through me. She probably don't even know I exist. Why always me? Why can't there be just ONE girl who loves me? But I know what I want, and that's what I told Becca. But whatever... Me, Luke and Eva walked to the back of the canteen, 3 tables away from 'her'. I was able to see her in the corner of my eye. I grabbed my sandwich out of my backpack and ate it, while talking to Luke and Eva. I never noticed myself staring at 'her' until Luke poked me and said 'wake up little dreamer.' I shaked my head fast and took a bite of my sandwich, and the conversation between us three went on, while I was still looking at 'her' in the corner of my eye. Eva talked about last night, she had a barbecue with her family because her it was her mother's birthday. Luke was there too, he came home at 1:30 AM while I was back home sitting on the couch thinking of new videos to do.
DRRRRRRRRRRNG!!! Everyone in the canteen grabbed their bags and walked out, on their way to the next class. I still had my eye on 'her' when she walked out of the canteen. I knew where she was going, she was going to her science class, the class without me. Eva kissed Luke goodbye and walked away to catch up with her friends to go to her class. I grabbed my backpack and walked away, with Luke by my left side. We had to go to our PE class, so we walked to our lockers and grabbed our gym bags, and we went to the gymnasium.
