Author's Note: I'm currently on season 5 of Voltron, so I'm not entirely caught up with the rest of the story, but I hope this isn't too out of character. I noticed there aren't a ton of Kidge FanFics out there, so here's my contribution. Enjoy!
Pidge POV
"Who wants milkshakes?" Hunk announced gleefully as he carried a tray of the sweet treats into the hall. All except Allura and Coran, who after learning from Lance how they're made, refused politely.
"Thanks Hunk," Shiro stated before taking a long slurp of the shake, causing a noise, "Now, getting back to business; we've had a long run these past few weeks. And after our last fught, we need time to recuperate. It's about time we took a break-"
Lance quickly jumped up, causing me to almost drop my milkshake, mid-slurp, "Alright! I say we pack up, and take a swim back with those Merpeople Hunk and I landed on if we're talking vacation."
"Not that type of break, Lance. I'm talking a week off at least. Voltron is still needed, and we have to be ready to take off at any minute. The Blade of Marmora have agreed to help cover the areas we normally patrol while we get back on our feet."
That statement earned a loud groan from Lance, "What's the point of telling us we're getting a little time off if we're still gonna have to be on edge?"
"Be grateful Lance. It's not everyday we get a chance to lay back. Even for a day," the Red voice spoke. Then there it was. The beginning of the funny feeling in my gut, "Besides, this may be a great bonding opportunity."
Fuck, am I sick or something? Am I really gonna be stuck sick on our only break?
"Okay, okay! As long as I can sleep in a few ticks than normal, I guess that's okay," Lance shrugged and proceeded to gulp down his milkshake.
After the milkshakes had vanished, I left the Hall to run a full body scan on myself.
Nothing.
I sat down on the floor, letting a sigh of relief escape me, before laying down, briefly closing my eyes. It was then, that the Red voice spoke to me, and his face flashed in my mind, before the funny feeling returned. Opening my eyes, I had to take a second to let my heart slow down.
What time is it?
It was dark.
I guess everyone is asleep.
I got up, and made my way to my room, where I sat on my bed, thinking for a moment or two. If I'm not sick, why do I feel so... Tingly?
Then there was a knock.
"Hey Pidge, can I come in?" the Red voice asked, piercing through the door.
I quickly tossed my bed spread to a semi-neat fold, before answering, "Yeah, go ahead."
Wait, why do I care if my bed is neat? It's just Keith.
The Red voice entered, engulfing the room in a cloud of red. It wasn't long before I felt as if it could swallow me whole with just its mere presence. Once the door has shut behind him, the feeling spread from my stomach to my chest, growing stronger once he began to speak.
"Mind if I sit?" he asked, putting a hand on my desk chair.
"Go ahead," I sat down across from him on my bed, as he sat in the chair, crossing his ankle over his knee.
"So, I was thinking," he began, "I haven't really gotten to know you close, aside from being a team member."
The tingling ran up my spine.
"Well, what do you wanna know?"
"Actually, I wasn't just thinking about spit-balling questions and answers like you would do in school back on Earth. Since we have a little time off, maybe we could stop at that shopping center you and Lance got the cow from?" he paused, "Just to walk and talk? If not, maybe we could borrow a hover bike from the castle and take a ride?"
I stuttered, surprised at the invitation. My stomach churning, as if I had motion sickness. Even so, my mouth moved before I could process the idea fully, "Yes! That sounds like a good idea."
Keith smiled, laughing, "Yes to what part Pidge? The walking or hover bike?"
My face dropped. Normally I would have answered with a straight response. Why am I unfocused? Stuttering, I blurred out a response, "Uh, the bike! The bike ride sounds like a good idea! Because, you know, um, we can get away from the castle and talk!"
He took a second, before laughing a little more, and getting up, walking towards the door. "It's settled then. I'll meet you in the kitchen tomorrow and hour after lunch. Sound okay?"
The feeling started spreading throughout my body, like a virus infecting a system.
"That sounds perfect."
He nodded and left, the door closing behind him.
Sighing, I flopped onto the bed, staring at the lowered ceiling, replying the conversation in my head. The details of the words faded, as my attention turned to the details of his smile. His face. His eyes...
Why am I thinking of him...
Soon, I drifted off to sleep.
.
My heartbeat echoed in my head, growing stronger and faster. His hands tracing my skin, causing me to press my body against him. I felt my temperature slowly rising, causing beads of sweat to form."Katie"
I shuddered at the way my name sounded passing through his lips. It aroused his senses more, taking it as an opportunity to seize my exposed neck. The pain was temporary, leaving as soon as it arrived, replaced by ecstasy, causing a moan to escape me. His hands lowered, dragging a series of red lines down my sides and back; my soft sounds earning a chuckle from him.
"Shh, it's almost over."
.
I woke to a layer of sweat covering my body, along with the tingling feeling deep within me, throbbing. My heart was abnormally fast, and fluttering, while my breathing was labored and heavy.Getting up, I took my covers with me to the washroom, and a change of clothes to the showers.
Keith POV
"Normally, staring isn't my thing. However, yesterday I couldn't help but stare at her honey gold eyes. Along with this, I took notice of her slim, athletic figure. As if my eyes had opened up to her hidden beauty for the first time. This wasn't the first time I had considered Pidge as attractive. However, before, I had been bored and let my mind wander. Admittedly, I knew it would lead me to this point. The point where I had thought of her to the point I couldn't stop. The point where I fell for her for more than her body.
'Excited' doesn't even begin to describe me right now.
Today, I find out if I have a chance."
I closed my log, and got up, grabbing my jacket as I headed out the door.Don't be nervous, don't be nervous.
I run by the kitchen and grab one of Hunk's pre-packaged food boxes, taking it back to my room, trying to pass time. I finished the entire thing in under 5 minutes.Time can't go any faster. God, please... Just a little quicker.
I've got almost 2 hours...
I get up, and make my way to the training room.
Maybe a little training will help me pass time...
Post Chapter A/N:
It's honestly been a few years since I wrote fan fiction, so I may be a little rusty. I plan on adding lemons/suggestions scenes as I grow more familiar with the series and characters.
So, thank you, and please comment. Constructive criticism accepted, as well as ideas and love :3
