They met in kindergarten, both innocent little kids that hated doing homework and just wanted to play on the playground during recess. They were good friends of course, inviting each other to their birthday parties and that was all. Soon it was already 5th grade. Them sitting next to each other for the 5th grade graduation. He was wearing a tux of course, she was wearing a purple sequin dress that was so itchy. She remembered how she felt going into the bathroom that day and putting it on before the graduation. She remembered how all of the girls were putting on makeup and doing their hair. The first time she felt ugly and stupid. But now it's 6th grade. Middle school. It was fine in the beginning. The two grew distant and never talked, just simple hellos or hi's. He wasn't popular with the other kids, he was over weight and was constantly made fun of because of it. She wasn't popular either. She was made fun of because of her short hair and the way she acted. She just stood out. She was diagnosed with depression. He was diagnosed with depression. None of them knew that the other was suffering with the same thing. She found out at the very end of 6th grade that he had depression and had been cutting himself for months. And he found out that she had depression and had been cutting herself for months too. And at the snap of fingers something sparked. Friendship? Maybe... Love? Possibly... Pain? Guilt? Sorrow? Back Stabbing? Suicide? Oh dear it was guaranteed from the beginning.
