"Lauren... Where are you?" I muttered to myself. Lauren's flight should've come in an hour ago, but she was no where to be found.
The summer between highschool and college my bestfriend Lauren Rolee and I had decided to take a trip to London. I had a small obsession with things from England so we decided that this would be the perfect vacation. But Lauren had an interview come up on the day of our flight and had to change her flight to a few hours later. Also, Lauren had my credit card, clothes, toiletries, etc. all I had was $100 and my cell phone.
After waiting at the flight terminal for another hour I decided to leave the airport and go outside into a nice park right across the street. I turned on my cell and called my mom. Voicemail, as usual.
"Hey.This is Jean, just wanted to let you know that I landed safely. If you even get this... Then... Call me back? ... I know it was over a year ago, please just...Just... Forget about it... Like you care." I spat into the phone, as I walked around the park, not paying attention to where I was going.
I ran into someone and fell flat on the ground right onto my left ankle.
"Oh my god!, I'm so sorry!" said a boy with an extremely attractive British accent.
I looked up at him slowly. Damn, he was gorgeous! Brown, heart-melting eyes, messy light brown hair, a cute birthmark on his neck, and he seemed to be a good 6 inches taller than me. He also looked slightly familiar, I just couldn't place his face though.
"It's fine, I wasn't paying attention. It was my fault. But do I know you?" I replied.
"You're American! You might; I'm Liam Payne from one direction, what's your name?"
Oh my gosh, he was Liam freaking Payne! But being the suave beast I am I just said, " I'm Jean, Jean Robertson. And.. Would you mind helping me up?" I had just realized that I was still on the ground.
"Oh! Of course!", he replied. "I forgot I was caught up looking at your beautiful eyes." he blushed and extended his hand to me.
Wasn't he just the cutest thing? I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. As I stepped onto my left foot I instantly felt pain shoot through my ankle. "ouch, damn it!" I whimpered jumping instantly onto my right foot.
"A-are you ok jean?"Liam said instantly, looking worried.
"I'm ok... I think. Probably just a sprain. But it still hurts like hell." it was the truth and honestly, I'd had worse. Would you mind handing me my bag?" It had flown about five feet away when I ran into Mr. Liam here.
"Of course love." He ran over and picked it up then instantaneously handing it to me. I reached into the bag and thank god it was still there! An old ankle brace. I pulled it out of the bag and tugged it on.
Liam gave me a puzzling look. "you have an ankle brace in your bag because......?"
"because I'm a total klutz." I giggled.
"You really are adorable." was all he said. I felt my cheeks flush crimson red and looked at the ground, hoping he wouldn't see the affect he had on me. I heard my ringtone go off, gotta be you, one of my favorite one direction songs and my blush deepened. I heard Liam's throaty chuckle and I quickly answered my phone.
"Hi Lauren, where are you?" I spoke into the phone.
"J-jean, I'm sorry but I'm stuck at the airport." she said slowly.
"W-why?" I stammered. Liam looked at me another worried look on his face.
"There was a thunderstorm... But Jean, I can't get to London for three weeks. That's when the next flight is." she paused, allowing the words to sink in.
"Seriously? All I have is $100 and my cell how am I supposed to manage? Where am I supposed to stay?" I screamed into the phone.
"I'm so sorry jean, I have to go. Bye."
And that was it I was now officially broke and stuck in London for three whole weeks.
"Jean..." Liam spoke in a calming voice, walking forward to hug me as I started to cry. "Don't worry, you can stay with me."
