There in front of me was the guy who had turned my life into an exhilarating rollercoaster ride, both challenging and rewarding!
His annoying ass has kept me awake at unusual hours; No, get your head out of the gutter, not in a pleasing way but in order and demanding way. He would not sleep and neither would let me sleep. He would keep on demanding me stuff at ungodly hours like it was a personal mission. I would find myself racing through the bustling streets, dodging pedestrians and navigating our sprawling metropolis, just to keep up with his insatiable appetite for perfection.
But honestly, the paycheck makes it all worth it!

I snapped out of my daydream when our eyes met; my eyebrows furrowed at his piercing grey eyes; those killer eyes of his that can read a person's soul and can hypothesise a person into doing anything.
And right now, these eyes were questioning something or, it could be said, displeased with something. In my case, he can never be truly satisfied with me, always keeping me on my toes. It was an unspoken game between us, and I was well aware of the stakes.
"Sir, you requested my presence," I said politely.
He sized me up with a glimmer of intrigue.
"Miss. Simon, are you not feeling well?""No, sir, I'm perfectly fine", I replied, my voice steady, but doubting his intention for asking about my health, as if he would genuinely care.
Raising his eyebrows, he pressed, "So, are you in a relationship"?
My eyes enlarged at his inquiry; like it was any of his business. I wished I could tell him just that, but instead, I maintained my composure.
"No, sir," I replied skeptically in a calm tone.
"Then why weren't you at your desk Miss Simon, I expect you to be focused on your job during working hours, get me the new government project on my desk right now, be more focused it's a crucial project for our company right now so don't Dilly dally here and there" he commanded, his voice sharp, slicing through the tension as he delivered his instruction with an authoritative flair that left no room for argument.
"Right away, sir," I replied, my voice steady despite my annoyance as I strode out of his office. I acknowledged that I was late, but did he have to speak to me in such a condescending tone? His sarcasm grated on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard.
As I sulked my way back to my cabin, I gathered all the important documents pertaining to the project, trying to shake off the frustration that bubbled within me. My thoughts had already spiraled around the recent wedding fascia while now, this demanding taskmaster was making everything worse.
I returned to his office to deliver the files.
Knocking, I heard his deep, commanding voice permitting me to enter. I opened the heavy wooden door of his office, where silence loomed like a thick fog; He stood before the large window, silhouetted against the waning sunlight, his muscular back showcasing a physique that seemed ripped from the pages of a fashion magazine. Dressed impeccably in a tailored three-piece suit that fit him like a glove he exuded an air of confidence and charm that was both captivating and frustrating.
