Sam's (POV)
I smile to myself a little as I finish making me and my father omlets for breakfast, before he had to go to work. (I've never had an omlet before, but I kind of want to try one). It was 3:45AM, which meant he only had about 25 minutes before going to work."Dad, hurry up and come eat your breakfast! You've only got 25 minutes left!" I whispered shouted as I pull out two plates from the cupboard and server us our breakfast.
I hear his heavy footsteps come towards the kitchen.
"Thanks kiddo!" He kisses the top of my head before grabbing his plate.
"Hey, we're family, and we gotta stick together! It's what we do!" I smiled brightly at him, and in turn, he smiles back.
Dad quickly eats his breakfast as I grab his lunch out of the fridge.
"I made you carne asada and a sprite for lunch, but you're gonna have to warm up the food at work." I smile softly as I hand him his lunch bag.
"Thanks kiddo, but you know I can always just get food-" I shake my head furiously.
"Nu! I ain't gonna let you eat food that might not even taste good from 7-11! Nu-uh!" He chuckles in amusement.
"Alright, alright, but I'm making dinner tonight!" He ruffles my hair a little, to which I playfully groan and playfully swat his hand away.
"Fine! But I'm helping you make it!" I playfully punch his arm, you which he lightly punches my arm back.
He checks the time on his phone, as do I, and our eyes widen. He now only had about 20 minutes before he had to go to work.
"Alright kiddo, I'll see you after work." We hug each other goodbye before he grabs his car keys, phone, phone charger and coat.
(I NEVER leave home without my phone charger).
"See you after work, daddy!" I stand by the door so I can close and lock it behind him.
"Cya then, kiddo." He replied before exiting the house.
As I close and lock the door behind him, a small sigh escapes my lips. I had a feeling that he might have to stay after hours, but I shake that feeling away and head over to the table to eat my breakfast. As I eat my breakfast in silence, I finish any homework that I was unable to last night. After once I finish breakfast, I put the dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it.
Another sigh escapes my lips as I take a look at the empty space that I had called home for many years. The feeling of loneliness start to crawl under my skin, but I shake that feeling away, head on to the basement, wrap my hands in wrestling tape and start punching my punching bag.
