Chapter 32: Family Moon

Soon after their birthday the twins suddenly appeared all grown up, wanting to talk, wanting to walk around the house and imitate people. It was just another lazy Sunday afternoon at home and Ritwik was overjoyed to hear both the girls saying "Pa" and he pointed it out to Palak who smiled and told him "Haaw; Pa means Palak ; Yeh jo tum din bhar Palak Palak karte rehte ho, they are just imitating you" which completely outwitted Ritwik and he threw pillows at her. She endearingly told him that she also wants them to say Pa before Ma first since he held them first but the twins obliged both and uttered "MaMa" soon after leaving both the parents gloating in happiness. 

On the work front , Ritwik and Palak  discussed, debated and sought Tim's inputs to detail out a presentation to KKR so that PR Healthcare continued to get funded the way it was. Ritwik made such a passionate pitch to KKR that they unanimously agreed to his future plan with very minor changes and allowed him to continue as CEO of both companies. They also agreed to a JV with Archaic Pharma for a Raheja Hospital chain which would ensure KKR of their returns and accepted the very impressive Dr Palak as their point person. On the other side Noon Biotech board also approved Ritwik to helm both Noon Biotech and PR Healthcare as separate entities realizing the benefit of his vision but Vijay avoided the board meeting on the pretext of ill health to not face Ritwik. The Father-Son cold war continued with each one waiting for the other to bend. 

3 months Later: 

Ritwik returned home early one day to find nursery rhymes blaring at full volume and Palak singing "London Bridge is Falling Down" with action trying to feed them. The twins got completely distracted seeing him and Palak told them "Papa se poocho; hum kab jayenge London bridge dekhne" and Ritwik responded "Jab Mamma kahe" and handed an envelope to her. She opened it lazily thinking it was some business document but her eyes widened and she burst out laughing brimming with excitement and planted a kiss on Ritwik's cheek. The two little munchkins stopped in their tracks watching this sudden demonstrated affection and came running to kiss Ritwik's other cheek to make him complete and then showered a few slurpy kisses on their mother as well. Ritwik had already planned a week long vacation to London for their anniversary and had just given Palak the tickets; it was telepathy at its best. He very apologetically told Palak that he could not take her on a honeymoon but they can always do a Family Moon with a twinkle in his eyes. 

On the other side; Reeva gathered herself and after toying with several ideas she finally decided to do something around women's lingerie. She spent days looking over the net, walked in and out of stores and finally decided to have a hand picked collection from some of the best brands, and her own designs made from fine material to guide people to the right fit for ease and comfort. Palak could be her first customer since she had a great figure which was not taken care of with the best fits and she smiled thinking bhai would be super happy with her turnaround when they visit London. She asked Aman for some suggestions on a name without telling him the content and he could not come up with anything better than "Reevas" so finally she settled on "ReSenza" and packed off the first parcel to Palak as an anniversary gift.

Palak and the twins traveled British Airways flat bed on their maiden international trip thanks to Ritwik who would never compromise on their comfort if he had the means. Palak was wide eyed at every sight and every sound of London and Ritwik knew that he had make this trip really special. Though they wanted to stay in a Serviced Apartment and visit Rohit and Setu but they would not listen to any excuse and literally emotionally black mailed them to come over to their place. It was a reunion of sorts for the best friends and they laughed about the past and how their lives were a roller coaster ride ever since they met each other
