I snapped my eyes open at the sound of Asia. My older brother was standing above me, smirking down at me. I had learned if I didn't set an alarm, he woke me up by pouring water on me.

"Rise and shine, Sammy!" Dean yelled. In response, I groaned and rolled over to hit the button on my cellphone that turned off my alarm.

To be honest, I didn't particularly love or hate that song, but I know it better than any other song in the world, so.

I opened my closet and pulled on a red and black flannel shirt and tripped (I'm a graceful moose) into a pair of jeans.

I could hear Dean waking up our other two brothers, Adam and Michael, in the next two rooms. I dragged myself into the hallway to hear Adam complain "Why do we have to go to school? We've only lived here for two weeks.

Our mom, Mary, yelled up the stairs, "None of you have left the house since we moved here! To school with all of you!" I gotta say, she wasn't wrong.

The past two weeks here had been a bit messy. Since mom was always out (she's an FBI agent and therefore always busy), we'd pretty much all eaten delivery pizza on the floor for every meal.

I jogged down the stairs, grabbing an apple and my backpack and sat down in front of the door, enjoying three milliseconds of peace and quiet.

Michael stormed down the stairs, grumbling to himself. "What's wrong with you?" I asked. "The neighbor whose room is super close to mine, one of those Novaks, was playing super loud music. ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I swear he must be Satan." Michael complained.

Dean made his way down the stairs, throwing his leather jacket over his shoulder. "You know it's like 80° outside, right, Dean? Is the leather jacket the best choice?" Michael pointed out. Dean shrugged. "I'm committed to my look, Micah."

"Your hair is a mess, Sammy," Dean said, looking judgementally at my hair. I ran my fingers through my hair and pushed it behind my ears. Dean and mom are always telling me I should cut my hair, but I like it longer. After I pushed my hair back, he shot me a weird look. "How do you do that? Unnatural."

Shooting him what my brothers call my bitchface, I headed out to the car, Dean's 1967 Chevy Impala. I threw my backpack in the car and put my feet on the driver's headrest. Dean and Michael got into the two front seats.

"Get your freakishly long legs off my headrest!" Dean complained, shoving my feet away. "Jerk," I said, putting my legs down. "Bitch." He shot back.

"Are we forgetting someone?" Michael pointed out. Oh shit, he's right.

Dean hit the horn. "Adam! Get your ass out here or I'm leaving you behind!" He shouted. I rolled my eyes.

We'd almost left Adam at, like, three different gas stations over the summer. Honestly, I think we have a problem.

"I'm here! I'm right here! Don't fucking leave me behind! Again!" Adam shouted, running out to the Impala and climbing into the backseat.

Dean and Michael both laughed and Adam promptly put his earbuds in, ignoring us. I stared out the window as the neighbor's car pulled into the lane next to us at a red light.

A boy with dirty blonde hair hanging in his face stuck his face out the window of the car. I brought the Impala's window down a little bit and looked over at the boy. He's kinda pretty.

"Hey, cutie!" He shouted at me.

What the everloving fuck.

"Me?" I yelled back.

"Yes, you! What's your name, hot stuff? I'm Gabe!" He yelled at me.

I honestly don't know, but it's not every day a cute stranger sticks his head out a car window and calls you hot.

"I'm Sam!" I shouted.

"Gabriel, you ass, get your face back in the car!" A boy yelled from inside the car, sticking a hand in front of Gabriel's face.

In the front passenger seat, a black-haired boy also stuck his face out of the car. "Sorry about him! Nice to meet you!" He shouted.

At this point, Dean also opened his window. "It's fine!" He yelled back.

Thankfully, after that eternity, the light turned green. I closed my window and looked back to Dean, Michael, and Adam.
All three were staring at me.

"What? He's kinda cute!" I shrugged. I mean, it's true! He was!

"Y'know if we were normal people, you could just meet a hot boy on Grindr or whatever." Adam pointed out.

I rebutted by sticking my tongue out at him and sinking back into my seat.

The rest of the car ride to school was silent, other than Michael and Dean trying to annoy the fuck out of everyone by constantly changing the radio station.
