Girl.
Boy. Woman.
Man. Inside we are
blood and tissue, bones
and vital organs. Our exteriors
are different and so are our minds.
We follow instructions or craft
our own set of instructions
to follow. We are
leaders,
but we
also follow the leader. We lie and steal,
but we run away when confronted about it.
We speak the truth, and love others. We are angry,
fearful and depressed, excited and happy. We are creatures
who base everything on the emotions we feel. Yet we
can also be heartless. Us, the creatures who
sometimes feel overloaded with raw emotion
can feel absolutely nothing at times.
Our actions can cause a world
of hurt, pain and scars. Yet we can
make someones day, simply by
flashing a quick smile.
A knock knock joke to a
stranger on a street. Or giving a
mother a big hug. It's as simple
as that. It's also that easy to change
someones day for the worse.
One snide comment. A
moment of rage. Or
simply forgetting
about someone. We make mistakes.
After all, we are only human
