Smoke floated up slowly, swirling and mingling with the already persisting scent in the room. Another drag and yet another exhale was released before the man lightly tapped the end of the cigarette he was holding at the edge of the ashtray, causing the burnt end to fall as ashes. Grey. Just like the world seen through the lenses of his eyes. Discarding the cig, the man moved slightly on the bed and gently shook the platinum haired woman in his arms awake. The woman mumbled something incomprehensible, to which the man responded with another nudge and whispered, "Dear customer, you need to wake up now. Our time together is up, I'm afraid." The woman groaned and let out a rather unattractive croak upon waking. Sitting up with disregard to the fallen covers that previously encompassed her naked body, she yawned and smiled lazily at the man still lying down who was looking up at her with an empty smile.
"Is it really time already?"
"I'm afraid so." The woman stretched for a while before making a move to stand in all her nude glory, bending down to kiss the man sensually before pulling away.
"Thanks for the good time, Caleb. You're amazing, as always," she winked. Moving to pick up her clothes that were discarded the previous night and slowly getting dressed, "Though I'd appreciate it if you actually remembered my name you know; as a regular of yours I thought I'd at least be a little special."
Caleb let out a mirthless, boyish laugh in response as he too stood up and reached for another cigarette and lighted it before letting it hang from his lips. He shrugged in a helpless manner as if to say he couldn't help it. "I have a lot of regulars, lovely. It's kind of hard to keep track when you're the best in town." The way that he said it, he wasn't even trying to brag. It was a statement, true to the core without an ounce of pride poured into it. Almost fully dressed now, the platinum haired woman let out a snort as she gathered her hair before tying it up in a ponytail. After picking up her blazer last that somehow ended up under the bed, she sauntered over to the still naked man and took the cig from his lips. Placing it between her pointer and middle fingers, she took a long drag, and slowly exhaled. The smoke made its way to Caleb's face, and with a single breath, he nonchalantly blew it way. The woman smiled and stole one more kiss which the man responded to almost as a reflex.
Pulling away for the last time before she had to go, she gently caressed Caleb's cheek that was dusted lightly with stubbles. With a look that was dripping with sympathy, her doe brown eyes scanned his face as she sighed. Almost cryptically, she said, "You have the greyest eyes I've ever seen. I hope one day you'll find someone that'll put a bit of life in you." She snuffed out the still burning rollup, before placing what remained of it in his hand. The woman turned to go out of the room without looking back at the man she left behind. Caleb simply stared at the door as it clicked shut, cigarette in hand, leaving him once again in the dimly lighted room still rampant with the mingling scents.
"Life," Caleb murmured to himself before scoffing. He moved to clean himself up in the adjoined bathroom, waiting for another customer for the day. It was hard being the highly demanded man of the company.

He was smoking at the porch, leaning against the metal railing while waiting for his next client; the warmth of the setting sun lightly kissing any skin of his that was left exposed as the wind slowly caressed him with their invisible touch. The top of his white dress shirt was left unbuttoned, revealing a tattoo above where his heart was supposed to be. It was in the shape of the sun, drawn in a tribal design. He had it inked onto his skin a moment's spontaneity, and still tried to find the meaning behind his actions on the fateful day he had the ink. He snubbed the fag when he heard the door to the room open and close in the softest manner. He let out a sigh and turned around before one of his eyebrows lifted up in an expression of mild curiosity when he laid his eyes on perhaps the most timid looking woman ever to grace her presence in this building. He walked inside and slid the door close, coming face to face with the woman who came up only to his shoulder in height. "He-hello," the creature stammered with a blush so widespread on her face that it made Caleb wonder how she hadn't fainted yet. He replied, eyes still scanning the woman in front of him.
Her short hair was the colour of flames, fiery orange with bits of brown that seemed to clash with her seemingly passive personality. Her doe-like eyes were the colour of lapis lazuli as she looked up at him with wonder. She was probably wondering why he wasn't doing what he was paid to do. Girls like her were a rarity in the business he was in; probably a virgin too. He grimaced inwardly; losing it to a prostitute wasn't exactly the most dignified way to lose it, but he wasn't about to question her motives as he slipped into character and let a lazy smile tug at his lips as he looked at her. She let out a squeak that actually made him chuckle as he pulled her close to his body, hands slowly feeling the curves of her body before finally resting at her waist. "I'll be gentle," he whispered huskily as he lowered his face to the nape of her neck and lightly kissed it, causing the girl to shiver lightly. He would make it quick, yet pleasurable for the (probable) virgin he held in his hands. They have the tendency to be easy to please. He was trailing kisses down to her collarbone when the woman squeaked a shrill 'NO' before pushing him away with a force that shocked him so he fell to the ground.
Still shocked, he looked up at the girl with wide eyes and wondered what in the names of fuck just happened. The girl brought her hands up to her mouth as colour drained from her face before she started apologizing profusely. That one moment was so weird that Caleb actually started laughing, hard. "What just happened?" The fiery haired woman was still apologizing as she held out her hand to help him stand back up, to which he graciously accepted as his shoulder still shook with laughter. It wasn't even that funny but Caleb didn't know why he was laughing so much. Maybe it was due to the fact that this kind of thing never happened to him; he simply didn't know.
"I am so, so sorry," she kept saying as she lightly dusted his shirt and some parts of his pants from the dirt. Caleb chuckled and grabbed her wrists to stop her; partly because he wasn't used to being taken care of.
"It's okay, but mind telling me why you did that?" She blushed once again and wriggled her wrists free from his touch.
"I-I didn't come for that, actually. To have s-sex, I mean; that's not why I'm here." This time both of his eyebrows shot up in surprise at her answer.
"Then why exactly did you come here if you're not looking for a good fuck?" Her cheeks coloured again at his question as she nervously combed her fingers through her hair that rested on her shoulder. Caleb thought that her coming to the brothel and not looking to have sex was like coming to the restaurant and not eating. She let out a sigh, and mumbled something under her breath that he didn't quite catch, causing him to lean closer to her and say, "What?" Colour crept up her neck as she lightly pushed his face away from her before clearing her throat.
"It was a dare, okay? My friend set me up for this," she said in an exasperated manner. "I didn't want any of this!" She flailed her arms, looking like a tiny chick flapping about in the process, Caleb noted. He held back a laugh, but couldn't help the small smile that tugged his lips.
