Jinx looked up at the slowly dripping sun, her limbs ached as Storm silently walked next to her. Jinx couldn't believe it. She left. She was finally gone.
Why did she feel so sad?
The scene played like a broken record player, she couldn't get it to stop replaying in her mind. She could still feel her claws sinking in his pelt, her paws inched as she tried to forget about it, but she couldn't forget all the times she had to sink her claws into an innocent cats pelt. Her eyes were slits of trauma as she tried to focus on the ground beneath her, but the more she saw her paws the more she could remember. Finally, the memory overtook her.

"Stop! Don't touch her!" Jinx screamed, her heart quickening as she saw him corner her—Storm. Her only friend. The only one who let her choose. She was now watching her upcoming death. Front row seat. Storm tried to look powerful, her teeth shining as she let out a growl, but her ears were far back and her tail was between her legs. Pine wouldn't listen, his claws extended and with a blood-sickening yowl he leaped, his paws outstretched. Jinx's blood went cold as Pine's claws sank in Storm's white pelt. Jinx couldn't just stand there, she had to do something. She let out a hiss, her claws extending as she leapt from the ground, her claws landing on Pine's back. He let out a hiss of surprise as Jinx's claws ripped into his skin, blood trickling on her paws as her ears rang. She couldn't hear anything but the ringing in her ears, she heard Pine yell and Storm scream, but the words were just mumbles. Incoherent mumbles that meant nothing to her. She jumped back as the word started to slow, Pine whipped around, his face showing deadly fury. Jinx's ears fell back as she let out another hiss, her head dropped to the ground as she saw him launch towards her. Jinx jumped back, extending her paw as she felt more blood pool onto the ground. She had clawed his snout, reaching from his left eye down to his nose. The ringing only grew louder and louder until she couldn't take it anymore, she pressed her paws to her ears.
"Shut up!"
The ringing stopped.
Pine had blood dripping onto the dirty ground, his eyes showed no emotion. They were clouded over, Storm was still in the corner. She could only glance at her, seeing a look of pride mixed with some sort of surprise. Pine walked forward until his snout was centimeters away from hers, she could smell the blood.
I did this.
This is my fault.
The blood is on my paws.
Suddenly, Pine walked past her, leaving her to stand there. She felt nothing. She didn't feel the slight breeze from the morning, she didn't feel the pain anymore from having to attack her own brother. She felt emotionless. Until it all dawned on her again.
I did this.
This is my fault.
The blood is on my paws.
She sat down, her claws dug into the earth. Tears streamed down her face, dripping onto the ground as she felt the sobs rake her body, she wanted to leave. She didn't want to go home anymore. She couldn't go home anymore. After what she did, what would Bear do? The scar that dragged down her forearm still hurt from being opened and reopened again and again. Suddenly, she felt warmth cover her fur as she looked up. Storm rested her head on hers, not saying a word as she rested her eyes. Blood still trickled slowly from her arm as she closed her eyes, taking deep breaths as she thought about what she was doing.
"We must leave."
