She kept on glancing around the car, sweat kept dripping from her forehead.Honking sounds and blaring lights, she fell into complete blackness.
Pure white walls, then Dusk emerged from one of the halls.
He's yelling, there's tears streaming down his cheeks.
In Your Dreams
DUSK knew he's under age. And under age driving is a big no no in the Philippines. He's also kind of tipsy.
But what else would he do knowing Kiana's in possible danger?
Paranoid thoughts were swarming on his head and he glanced at Cassidy on the passenger seat.
“I saw on dream, you girl? Die driving...”
“Your girl.”
Cassidy had her head pressed on the window sill, staring out blankly. She's sobered up a little when Clarette Fortescue slapped her when the other girl heard her last statements.
Clarette doesn't believe her, and considers it a bad omen to state such things as that.
“Never say anything close to that again, Cass. I'm sorry I slapped you. But even in your drunken state, j-just don't okay?”
Clarette turned to him, “Sorry, Dusk. Don't believe her, she doesn't mean a thing—”
“It's fine,” Dusk responded, still a little frozen on his seat, “I'll just...”
His eyes met Cassidy's, whose now clear, and begging him.
He shouldn't believe on anything Cassidy says, of course. She's drunk, Kiana's too goody to drive under age, she doesn't remember his name, but what she stated sent shivers down his spine.
Because he had a nightmare about it too.
Blinking, he turned to the other girl, “Can I take her on a ride... To... To clear her head...?”
Its pathetic, it's not a reliable basis, but Kiana still hasn't answered any of his calls,
“Eyes on the road, Sydney.”
Now she remembers, what a miracle! *Sass*
He kept his eyes on her, “It's Dusk, or Syd, or Mitchell. Just not Sydney.”
Just as he placed his eyes on the road she giggled, “Okay then, not Sydney.”
Dusk bit his lip to hide his grin, he shouldn't be amused, right?
Silence grew between them.
They don't really know each other, they've only met three weeks ago, at the first day of school, they have no mutual friends or interests, and they haven't had a single conversation before.
“Are you sure...” he swallowed, before continuing, “she's in danger?”
Cassidy shifted on her seat to face him, she could see sweat building up his head, his eyes darts back and forth. To be honest, she's nervous too.
They're driving under age, it's not even Dusk's car.
It's the first time she's able to interpret her nightly dreams.
Since she met him.
“Are you?”
Dusk shot her a look, “Fuck, Cassidy. If you're just shitting with me—”
