Chapter 2

I'm running down the stairs. The evil Dr. Annihilator hot on my trail! I turn the corner, but it's too late. He grabs the back of my shirt!

"I am Dr. Annihilator, I come to....." He stumbles a bit.

In a whispered tone,"Umm, annihilate me?" Is say as I wink.

"Yes annihilate you!!" He says choking back laughter

My older brother and I burst out laughing. We fall to the ground holding our stomach's. As we regain our composure, the air begins to fill with the wonderful scent of bacon and eggs. My brother looks at me with a mischievous grin. He bolts towards the kitchen.

"Come on slow poke, there's gonna be nothing left if you don't hurry!" He calls to me. You can tell he's obviously winded from the running, and the laughing.

His comment makes me the fastest person alive. I can't give up my bacon! I get there just in time, but he already shoved his bacon in his mouth. Now he's on to the eggs, shoving them into his mouth as if he hadn't eaten in days. 

"Andi!" My mother almost yells, "pace yourself please."

She places a hand to her Temple and looks disappointed.  Andi doesn't notice. He continues shoveling in his food. I sit down to enjoy my food. I notice Andi staring at my plate.

"Can I help you?" I ask

"Well...." He says, "since you asked, it would be really beneficial to me if you gave me your bacon." He bats his eyes, "you see I'm.... Um.... Dying from an illness only bacon can fix!" He puts the back of his hand to his forehead, tilts his head, and closes his eyes. He then peaks with his left eye to see what my reaction was.

I look him up and down. I pick up my piece of bacon and start to hand it to him. At the last second I swerve it back towards me and shove it in my mouth. I smile immediately afterwards with bacon bits in my teeth. Andi give me the stink eye. That makes me laugh harder, and a couple bits fly out of my mouth.

"Kids hurry up or you'll be late for school!" My mom yells in the most caring of way.

We grab our coats then backpacks and head off. I'm walking in front of Andi because he got distracted by an icicle that looked to be about three feet long. Then something hits me in the back of the neck, and it's freezing. I turn around to see a tall kid with a dark shadow over his face glaring at me. I immediately turn back around and run. A couple more come my direction. This time some are filled with ice chunks and they hit me. They hurt. I turn to go into an alley. I'm cornered. I look at this kid and he has a few more snowballs left. He hurls them all my way. I throw up my hands to shield my face..... But nothing happens I look at the snowballs suspended in mid air.  In wonderment I just freeze. The kid comes closer to me and acts as if this didn't phase him. He grabs my arm and starts to pull.

Ouch that hurts! Let go of me! Leave me alone! My mind yells. He let's go and starts walking off in the opposite direction. I fall to the ground.

My head hurts, then I realize I got hit by a bar. I start to freak out. I take in my surroundings. I am in a dark room that looks like it used to be part of a factory. What factory, I have no clue. I hear something scratch against the floor and I turn, almost giving myself whiplash. A dark figure is leaning against a wall. Wait not a dark figure, but the dark figure. It pushes itself off the wall a walks towards me with such elegance. I start to back away but something grabs my ankle. I look down to see a piece of metal has wrapped around my leg.

I want to scream but nothing comes out. So I just stand there waiting for doom... But nothing happens the figure turns on a light to reveal a boy about my age. He has dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He looks like he's in shape, but worn out. His face, though beautiful, reveals his exhaustion. He puts out his hand

"I'm Eric." He says then coughs. "I know you don't now me but I know you. We need to talk." And immediately the metal releases me.
