Tin Roof

You know when we were kids
Staying at the house in the country with the tin roof
Young and without a clue
It was storming
Rain drops headed face first on that tin roof
We couldn't sleep
Scared of the thunder
Cold with no heat
This is the night I noticed
When you become scared you eat
I thought you were going to bust
Me when I'm scared
What do I do
Well I don't know
Maybe I bite my nails
Maybe I pull my hair
Maybe I picture people in their underwear
The TV is on
Droning in the background
Can't remember what is on
Just remember the sound
That rain falling in fits
You and me scared
Do you remember when we were kids
