"G-gang leader..?" Noah stuttered out, sniffling slightly. Ryder nodded slowly, not knowing how Noah would react to it.
Noah played with the hem of his hoodie, "Do you.. do you hurt people..?" Ryder inhaled sharply, staring at his little kitten.
"Yes." Ryder answered truthfully. "But we never hurt innocent people," he quickly added when he saw the fear in Noah's eyes.
"I would never hurt you, kitten." If it weren't
for the situation he was in, Noah would've pouted and scolded Ryder for the cheesy nickname he had for him."H-have you k-" Ryder cut Noah off. "I don't think that's important now, kitten. What's important is, i want to know what's going on."
Noah bit his lips and shook his head, shivering. Ryder instinctively pulled Noah closer to him, combing his hair gently.
"Kitten, I want to help you. Tell me what's happening." Ryder whispered gently into his ears and Noah closed his eyes shut, snuggling towards Ryder. Noah couldn't put together why he was so close to Ryder and why he trusted Ryder so much.
Noah told Ryder everything. What his Father did over the years, what his father recently did to his momma and him.
Noah was a whimpering mess when he finished and he clutched onto Ryder. Ryder face hardened in anger as he held Noah protectively towards his chest.
"Move in with me, Noah." Ryder was dead serious, he was mad. He didn't want Noah to be in any sort of danger. Noah pushed himself off of Ryder and shook his head frantically. "N-no! My momma! She.. she can't be home alone, please! She gonna get it worst if I'm not there.. and.. and she's old she can't.. Ryder she can't-"
Ryder calmed the frantic Noah down as he shook his head. "She can move in together with you. We have enough rooms."
Noah shook his head again, calmer now. "W-we can't do that.. that's like freeloading.. and my Father wouldn't be happy.. plus momma works pretty far away.."
Ryder chuckled as he planted a kiss on Noah's forehead. "Stay, she can work here around the house. I'll pay her, and she can take good care of her boy."
Noah scrunched his nose up and looked deep in thought as he wandered about the deal. His father wouldn't be happy..
"T-that's okay.. but my Father wouldn't be happy.. he wouldn't have money for his drinks.. and.. and he wouldn't let us leave seeing us with luggages." Noah stated sadly.
Ryder sighed, "I'll go with you, I'll bring a few men, he wouldn't touch you kitten. I promise I wouldn't let anything hurt you. Ever." Little did Noah know though, Ryder was gonna pay his Father. No matter the amount, he's determined to bring Noah, and his Mother, back home. Back to safety.
Noah smiled softly, "Why are you doing so much for me..?" He asked, slightly confused. Noah was a little dense, so he didn't catch up with Ryder.
Ryder smirked, his eyes glistened with mischief. "Because you have a cute ass."
Noah flushes red as he slapped Ryder's chest as he roared with laughter, throwing his head back as his little kitten continued throwing cute slaps and punches on his chest.
"I'm kidding, kitten. I must be so hooked to you then."
"Yeah? My heart does this little pew pew when I see you.. am I hooked too?" Noah asked innocently, his big doe eyes bored in Ryder's.
It would've sound cringy to anyone or everyone else, but it made the icy cold heart of Ryder's melt.
"Yes you are, kitten. Let's move you in today? Where does your mom work? We'll go take her home and you can pack your stuff before moving in. How's that sound?" Ryder asked, combing Noah's soft hair.
