"So everything is set."

"Yup. The last day of school is our flight. I'll be picking up my mom and then we head to the airport."

"Ok great. I've missed you so damn much."

"Same here and I need a break."

"Awe, why you say it like that."

"Because I'm tired Shay, I just want a change in scenary and everything."

"Well you know I got you."

"I know and don't forget to come get me at my aunt's place."

"I won't."

On the phone with my best friend, we were both excited to see each other.

"Lebby won't stop talking about seeing his Mirah." She laughed.

"Girl I swear those two are inseparable."

Shay and I were both pregnant at the same time, we even gave birth a week apart. She spent her son's first year home here before moving to Georgia with her father when he was two.

One thing we made sure to do was keep in contact. Shay was my life line and I was so grateful for that.

"How things with you and Druex?"

"He's here." I sighed.

"Really?"

"Yea. He showed up yesterday morning."

"Y'all hooked up huh?"

"No but I've been fighting the urge."

"Well you better keep fighting it. I can't stand his ass and its bad enough he is my Goddaughter's father."

Back when we were eighteen, Shay and I took our first trip to California. There we met Druex.

At first I wasn't really paying him any attention. I was overly full of myself and so was Shay. We basically felt like we ran shit.

Finally giving him my time, we talked which led to us dating. I was still in university at that time so it was off and on for us but all that changed four years ago when I got pregnant.

"Don't say that Shay."

"I'm sorry but its true."

Shay wasn't always like this towards Druex, but when he began fucking around on me, she turned on him.

"Anyway...our babies are turning four in a couple weeks, what you have planned?"

"Don't try to change the topic."

"I'm planning a princess themed party for Mirah. The colors are pink, purple and silver."

"Fine bitch. Just ignore me."

"What about my Godson?"

"He's only up my ass about ninja turtles so that's his theme. I'm just keeping something at his school though. My mom can't make it out here so its just me, him and my dad."

"Still not seeing anyone?"

"No. I can't stand these Georgia niggas."

"Oh wow." I laughed.

As we talked some more, I heard a beeping from my phone.

"Babe hold on, I'm getting another call."
