They sat in Annabeth's room, listening carefully at the screaming and shouting coming from their parents.

"Athena, I can't believe you!" his father yelled. "Calm dowm honey, it's just a buisness deal," his mother tried to intervene. "Just because you can't get people to like you is not my problem," her mother screeched. "People love me. They only chose you because they have no idea of your past business deals, Athena!"

"Get out of my house!"
"I'd love to,"

Percy and Annabeth shared a knowing look. They both knew how long their parents could hold a grudge. This was probably the last time they'd see eachother.

"Percy, come here! We're leaving and hopefully never coming back," his father yelled. "I'm coming dad," Percy said, sorrowful. They shared a hug then he slowly opened her bedroom door to leave.

Her mother looked Poseidon up and down before they left the house. "Never ever contact us again!" Athena yelled on their way out. His mother shut the door behind them.

Percy was only twelve years old and was being separated from his best friend.
