(The  story is mostly from Can's point of view. It takes place after Episode 26, where we saw Sanem giving her scent to Fabri in return of  Can's freedom and shares in the agency. It's my version of what should happen, because honestly that episode completely threw me off!  How could Sanem just give her perfume so easily?, I kept thinking.  So hopefully, the explanation given in the story would be a satisfactory answer. Also what bothered me more was, Sanem not telling Can about that deal, so once again I attempted explaining that.  I hope you like it!❤️)

She was running away from him once again. This time he didn't even know where she had gone and why. He knew she had to be really upset to have taken such a drastic step. After all, she had promised him to never be away from him ever again, never to let go of his hand. Yet, she was going away and he didn't even know where to look for her. It frustrated him so much! If only, she had talked to him once.

If only she had talked to him, she would have realized that there was nothing she could do that would make him want to leave her. She could make him angry, she could make him upset, she could make him feel the pain the kind he had never felt before, she could slay him with just a glance. But, she had to know that he could never be away from her. Their hearts were intertwined with each other, and how does one survive without one's heart? Just like the birdhouses they had hung outside that old house giving shelter wayward birds, he had found his shelter in Sanem. He couldn't stand being apart from her more than a few minutes. She had to know this right?

So why was she running away from him?

Then he saw her, but she was in pain. The searing, gut-wrenching pain that was making her gasp for air and causing his own chest to constrict painfully. He would have never thought that tears spilled from someone's eyes would be the reason his heart would ache this much yet there he was. Her pain reflected in him, her every single sob stabbing at his heart with a dull knife. Why was she crying?

He tried to ask her but she wouldn't even look at him. It was as if she was separated from him with some kind of invisible, impenetrable barrier and no matter what he did, he couldn't cross it. He couldn't reach her. She was there but not really there. He couldn't touch her or hear her or talk to her.

Where was she?

A strange panic started to take over him. Desperation, the kind of which he had only felt only a handful of times in his entire life quickened his pulse. He had to reach her somehow, he knew it. Because if he failed, he knew he would profoundly regret it. He started calling out her name, trying to get close to her. But the strangest thing was, the more he tried to reach her the farther away she got.

"Sanem! Please come to me! Please just once, come to me!" He called her out, trying one last time to reach her, this voice choked up in the all-consuming fear making him forget his words.

"I am so sorry Can! I tried but I failed you again! And now, I have to go." She sounded lost and hopeless.

He couldn't, he wouldn't let her go.

He tried one last time with all his might. He needed to touch her, to make sure that the connection was still there.

"Sanem, just give me your hand. You promised me you will never let go! Sanem, lutfen!"

Can tried reaching her but as he went to touch her a sharp, sizzling pain shot through his arm, making him retract his touch. Sanem looked horrified as if she felt his pain too.

"See! I told you, I have to go away from you. I will keep hurting you if I stay."

She started moving away from him disappearing in the darkness that was lurking behind her.
