ONE.

CHAPTER I

    My name is Louise Serephina Tellame. I was born in Sheffield, England. My father is white, my mother is black; well that's what they've been telling me since I was old enough to speak at least. They told me my father died when he was coming to the hospital with my mothers overnight bag, they also had told me my mother died when I was born.

    I was in an orphanage since I was two months old. They kept me in the hospital that long. I am now 16 years old living with a rich family in Bath, they adopted me after the hospital let me go. We have a mansion. I have two little brothers who were born the same year I was adopted, my parents thought they couldn't have children until they kept trying and out came twins. Their names are Storm and Thorn. I love them a lot. Our parents always make time for us. We have maids and cooks but they only work when our parents go on business trips, they still get paid. I love them too. We call Cook, Cook because he hates being called Mason. Our maids Nina and Jenny are twins we call them Ni and Jen. Sometimes Jen would baby sit us just for extra cash. She's still in school. Ni had dropped out because their parents had died. Ni, Jen and Mason have been with mum and dad since the beginning.

    Ni and Mason are together, they have been since before I was adopted. Mason has this brother, Tom, he likes Jen but Jen is trying to focus on us and school before getting into an intimate relationship.

    I've always had a weird sense about my family. When I turned 14 I learned somethings about myself. I was doing my hair in the mirror when I disappeared. I only saw my brush and the hair pieces on my right arm. I went to my parents bedroom and knocked, mum came out she didn't see me until I put my hand up to get her attention. She saw me then closed the door on my face. I had heard whispering on the other side. I only caught on to a little bit of what they said,'It's happening love, she's become of age. We have to tell her now.' Dad said no. I walked closer to the door and the next thing I knew I was inside the room. They didn't hear me. I was glad but the door was still closed so I was confused.

    I quietly took off my hair pieces so the didn't see me but it's like they could sense my presence because dad called out to me,'Serephina, we know you're in here. We're going to tell you everything. Just relax your body and you'd become visible again.' I relaxed and looked into the full body mirror that was perched against the wall. He was right. I was slowly coming back.

    'Your parents—' mum began to speak, 'We we're all best friends. Your mother told us that if anything was ever to happen to them we have to take you in. The hospital wouldn't let us have you so we had to wait until you were discharged. By time they let you go I got pregnant with Storm and Thorn. Two months after you were born we adopted you because that's what we were told to do.

    Sage, your mother, was running from your grandfather, her father, because he didn't like that she was pregnant with a Demon's child. This demon made itself a human body to be with your mother. They got married and had you. Your mother is— was a goddess.

    I am as well. The Demon's name was Azrael. They had met during a quest your mother had went on to fulfill the title of Goddess Princess. She was sent to kill him. She was gone for a year when she came back pregnant and depressed instead of holding Azrael's head and victorious.

    Tatous was livid. He demanded her to go back and kill him. Accusing him of being a monster because his mistress had died when she had to go on the same quest. Sage didn't budge. She said that she was pregnant and she was going to keep the baby. Demon babies take two months to be born, goddess babies take one. You were fully grown and ready to come out, but Tatous didn't want a hybrid to be born in the Palace of Serenity. Sage was banished to earth, I came along with her because it was my duty as a best friend and a bodyguard to keep her safe—'
    'This doesn't explain why I just disappeared out of nowhere,' I interrupted.

    'Be patient. I was getting there. Anyway, as I was saying, I bought Blake with us because I wasn't leaving my husband behind and we all came to earth. On November 2, your mother had you. You didn't cry or anything and the doctor thought something was wrong. They wanted to run some test but your mother told them no. She didn't want the humans to find out our secret.

    Tatous came down to earth and killed Azrael himself. After killing Azrael he came to the hospital and killed your mother. Your goddess powers were at bay; your demonic powers on the other hand... well they had protected you from Tatous by killing him. A phoenix came down and stole his body before any human saw it. Blake and I witnessed the whole thing even though we were in the waiting room.

    We have a power called goddess eye. We can see any and everything no matter how far or how small. Fourteen years old is the age of becoming which means all of your goddess powers will awaken. You have all of your fathers demonic powers and you have all of your mothers goddess powers. Invisibility is one of them. Your invisibility is only just awakening because it is a shared power from both your father and your mother,' I was actually shocked. This whole time I thought I was human. My life has been a lie. I knew mum wasn't finished but I got up to leave the room anyway. 'You better tell Storm and Thorn about this. They're almost fourteen. You don't want them to be frightened now, do you? I'm going to my room'

    'We can finish this later, send the boys here before you go to your room please?'

    'No.' I replied. Short and simple. I was mad at them. They lied to me all my life until now.
