CHAPTER III

'You're the goddess every wolf prays to and you're just learning about who you are?' Jessie asked surprised.

'Yeah... That's cool I guess. I mean it's not like it's a big deal, right?' I didn't know what to say to these guys, they stared at me like I was crazy. I literally don't know anything about this. I didn't know what to do. 'Guys, if we go to your place, all of us, and I meet your parents you won't tell them who I am right? Because I wouldn't like that if you did'

'If we don't you'd have to introduce yourself as Loui and some other last name, they know everything about the Tellame family. Tellame is your mothers last name.' Mycal shrugged after Jessie finished talking.

'Oh.' That was all I could say. Even though I really want to meet their parents I don't want to risk revealing myself, but then again it'd be nice to meet someone else's parents. 'Lead the way guys.' I said with a awkward smile.

On the way to their house, Mycal was jumping around Jessie and I in his wolf form and yipping happily, until Jessie reached out and grabbed him by the neck and told him to shift. 'Bean,' Mycal and I blushed. I don't know why I blushed but the nickname is too cute. 'If you keep playing around now, you won't get to play later. Understood?' He just nodded and held onto Jessie's man hands. I was thinking about a conversation starter when all of a sudden Jessie pulls me down to the floor and tells Mycal to keep me safe and quiet. I looked over at Mycal with wide eyes ready to ask what's going on, but he stops me by holding a hand over my mouth.

There was yelling and grunting. Lots of it. It lasted for at least 15 minutes before Jessie came back over to us with blood on his face. He had teeth marks on his abdomen and legs that were oozing blood; then stopped. All of the teeth marks healed and there was no trace of them ever being there. I was amazed but I didn't ask what happened even though I really wanted to. They looked at me and shook their heads simultaneously. 'What?'

'Nothing,' they said in unison. Now it was my turn to shake my head. 'So what happened back there, Jess?' I told myself not to ask and I still did. I'm so stupid. They aren't going to tell me. We just met, but they should. I am their goddess after all. The boys stared at me. 'A rouge attack.' I raised my eyebrows. 'Rouges are wolves that either decided to leave their pack or they were banished. They were trying to attack my pack even though they know my pack is the strongest pack out. I'm almost the alpha, the leader, of my pack. I just need two more years. I'm eighteen right now.' I guessed it. I knew Jessie was eighteen, but isn't that illegal. 'Mycal is fourteen. That's illegal, isn't it?' I was curious so I asked.

They just turned away from me with sad looks on their face. Do their parents not know they're together? 'No one knows we're together,' Mycal mumbled. 'I'm Jessie's mate. We're soulmates. We were best friends at first and then Jessie's eighteenth birthday came around and we were having a sleepover in the alpha's quarters. I woke up to Jessie kissing my face and it felt electric.'

'That's adorable. I'm not judging guys. There is no need to get sad. I won't tell.'

'The elders tell the children tales about how our goddess, you, paired us with our soulmates. I used to believe that until I met you just a while ago.' I blushed. 'Really?'

'We both did. Do you still want to go to the pack house Loui?' Jessie asked.

'You'd still let me after that attack?' I was excited. I really want to meet their parents and take a look around the pack house and meet the other pack members. 'Do you have a phone at home? I want to call my parents and tell them I'm staying at your place.'

'You expect us to not have a phone or allow you to call your parents? You're one crazy girl. I've been meaning to ask; how did you know that Mycal and I were here, in the woods I mean?'

Oh!,'I have a power from my mother it's called goddess eye. I can see anything that's far away or too small.' They looked at me in awe and fear. That's what I think the face was at least. 'What happened guys?'

They just walked ahead of me and didn't say anything. They are confusing. I wonder if all boys are like this. Instead of complaining, I shake my head and run to catch up with them.

THE PACK HOUSE...

I thought these guys lived in a house. This place is a castle. 'It is a house Loui.' Huh? 'You're talking out loud.' Oh! 'You're still doing it.' Oops. I shrugged. I looked over to the guys and they rolled their eyes at me. I was going to say sorry but then we heard something. It was like they had telepathy or something because they nodded at each other and Mycal left leaving Jessie and me alone. I looked around after Jessie followed me through the gates admiring the entrance. There was a fountain in the middle posed as a roundabout. It seemed to be made of gold or some other metal. It was shaped like trees and on the edge there were wolf statues with water coming out of their mouths. We were walking on the sidewalk that leads to the main doors when Mycal came running back to us. He stopped; panting with his thumbs up. Jessie nodded then left in the same direction Mycal had come from.  'Cal?'

'Hmm,' he looked over to me like he was in a mice of some sort. 'Cal?' I tried again. 'What's going on Cal?' I was always a curious child according to mum. Apparently I liked to wonder the neighborhood. 'Mycal, why do you guys keep running back and forth?!' I was mad he wouldn't answer me so I yelled something that I just recently started doing. He was shocked. There was fear set in his eyes. 'I'm sorry. I don't mean to scare you? Just can you tell me please?' He looked hesitant, like he'd get in trouble if he did tell me. 'Cal, what's wrong?' I stepped forward to give him a hug and held my hand up and he looked down at it terrified. I followed his eyes with my own and I saw...
