The real world

From a young age, we were taught that all we wanted in life was to look pretty

We were taught to look nice to please the men

We were taught that asking a boy out was just wrong or would make us look desperate

I was taught that the only way to find love was to wait for someone to ask me

Us girls grew up in a world were pleasing men was all there was to think about

I wanted to grow up in a world where I could ask out the guy with no hesitation

I wanted to grow up with people who didn't judge me for calling a guy hot

I wanted to grow up in a place we're going to prom alone wasn't sad

I wanted to have people who told me that guys look at more than just your looks

But the world I want doesn't exist and probably never will

If I were to ask a guy out I would be called desperate

In reality, all guys look at is if you're pretty

When I go to prom alone in a few months I will be called a loser

In real life as a girl, employers won't look at my the paper showing that I have a brain that works faster than any guy, they will look at my boobs and butt

In the real world, girls are looked at as nothing more and an object to fulfill a man's needs

In the real world, we are expected to follow all the rules and never under any circumstance to think for our selves

I wish I could tell you young, girl, readers that it will get better. But I'm not gonna lie; our world will never change unless we do something about...

So let's do somthing about it...
